passed in 85 questions
Hi everyone ! I’ve been reading all of the advice about the nclex to help prep for mine and I just found out I passed in 85 questions today ! I wanted to give some advice about how I passed.
I used bootcamp and I would HIGHLY recommend using them as your q bank. The nclex looked exactly like bootcamp and it really helped me prepare for how vague the questions were. I was so scared about how vague and random the questions would be but honestly I think bootcamp helped prep with the topics I would see. Their crash course videos/notes are amazing so definitely use those as a study source.
I also listened to just Mark K’s lecture 12. I would
Listen to his lecture everyday and anywhere. On walks, doing stuff around the house and just driving places. I would also watch Dr. Sharon’s prioritization videos and take a look a the NCLEX crusade 7 day training to learn how to answer prioritization questions.
I probably got like 4-5 case studies, a bunch of SATA and standalones. No math or bow ties. I personally didn’t think the exam was as hard as people say but there were definitely questions that i had to guess on. I was an A/B student in nursing school and I struggled with test anxiety, but this exam is definitely a mind game. I suggest reading the rationales of the questions you get wrong and assume that you’ll be tested on every single topic so that you’re familiar with every single topic. Again, you’ll never feel ready to take it, but just believe in yourself. I genuinely thought i failed, but ik gave it my all and studied as hard as i could. Make sure not to study the day before, get a good meal and as much sleep before the exam and go in with a positive mindset. Good luck everyone !!
