Landlord entered my apartment without permission and with only half an hour’s notice – am I wrong for saying it made me uncomfortable?

Alright so this one might be a bit long because my landlord and I have some history. I've (27f) been living in my place for almost 2 years and started having issues with my landlord (let's call him Derek) almost immediately.

The first issue occurred during one of my work from home days, I work for the Canadian government and often work on confidential things which means I can't have anyone around when I'm WFH. On this day, I texted Derek when I noticed a minor leak (like I saw 3 droplets on the ground, nothing serious in the slightest) in my sink. He showed up 5 minutes later and told me to let him in to fix it. When I told him I couldn't let him in at that time and explained why, he started screaming in my face that I had no right to stop him from coming in and that I don't know anything about the law. He freaked me out so much that I made sure my boyfriend at the time was there the next time Derek had to come in to the unit. Derek even started yelling at me again there, my ex was shocked that he felt at all comfortable acting this way.

After that, I tried my best to avoid Derek as much as possible, even going so far as to take on all necessary repairs myself as much as possible so l wouldn't have to interact with him. I actually started to like him a bit more after I got a cat, one day I couldn't find her anywhere and started freaking out that maybe she found a way into the elevator shaft. I called him asking if he knew of any openings to it in my apartment and was clearly very anxious, he actually calmed me down and assured me that there was no way she could've gotten out and that everything would be okay.

The positive turn in our relationship definitely shifted back towards the opposite direction yesterday, when once again Derek entered my apartment whenever he wanted. I texted him a month ago asking if he could reinstall the AC unit that was in my apartment when I moved in. I definitely let him know that I appreciated him doing so. We agreed that he would come install it today (Monday), and I let him know that I would be out of town and he could let himself in whenever was best for him on that day. Additional context, I often have someone over in my apartment without me being there, but would warn them of any days that my landlord potentially had to come into the unit so they could either clear out or be prepared for Derek to come in.

Well, Derek did not end up waiting until today, he did it yesterday, didn't even ask if he could do it, just said he was going to be there in half an hour. I didn't even know he was doing it until I saw a text saying he was already done. Thankfully, no one was in my apartment at the time, but I wanted to make it clear that, while I appreciated him installing the AC, it made me a bit uncomfortable that he entered my unit with no real prior warning and without my approval.

I'll attach screenshots of our texts, but the gist of his response was that I was ungrateful, he had every right to go in since I was the one who asked him to put in the AC and I was out of town, and that he would never be doing me any "favours" ever again. Multiple people in the building have very similar problems with him (I’m very close with a lot of my neighbours and it’s a repeat topic of conversation) but he always pretends to anyone who says anything to him that we’re the only person who would ever feel that way. So am I wrong for asking what I did?

EDIT: to be clear, we agreed he was going to come today (Monday) but instead he came yesterday (sunday) and I just wanted to be asked so I could make sure to give a heads up to anyone potentially in my apartment

EDIT: I would’ve been totally fine with it if he had given me a little bit more of a heads up and waited for me to text back, half an hour is super short. I really didn’t feel like I needed a full 24 hours, which is why I didn’t go straight to the legal argument like some are suggesting and tried to just explain the reason why it made me uncomfortable. For those who think my cats were at risk of heat stroke, they weren’t, Monday (today) was the first actually hot day in the city I’m from (I’m Canadian and in a notoriously cold to hot city), it had been realllyyy cold up to 2 days ago, my apartment dropped below 19 degrees when I left on my weekend trip. The person who was taking care of my cats was making sure they were in a comfortable temperature, and they did the entire time.
