I’m deciding between TUM MSc Communication & Electronics and FAU MSc ICT for Winter 2026.

The catch is the cost:

TUM: €6,000/semester tuition

FAU: €0 tuition (only semester contribution)

My goal is to work in embedded systems/electronics/automotive in Germany.

For current students, alumni, or industry professionals: Is TUM actually worth paying an extra €12,000/year compared with FAU?

Does TUM’s reputation + Munich location provide a significant enough advantage in terms of internships, working-student jobs and full-time employment to justify the cost?

Which would you choose in this situation?
