"Microsoft said Monday it will cut about 4,800 jobs, or 2.1% of its global workforce, as part of a broader reorganization aimed at accelerating its artificial intelligence strategy. Most of the layoffs will be concentrated in the Commercial and Xbox divisions, according to the memo from Chief People Officer Amy Coleman. In a separate note to employees, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said the gaming unit will spin off four studios and eliminate 3,200 positions through fiscal 2027, including 1,600 jobs cut on Monday. Microsoft is the parent company of LinkedIn."
