So ive currently got a female yellow bellied slider and intend on housing her with a new friend her later this year. My question is would it be better for her mate to he a female or a male. My wife wants a painted turtle which means they won't be able to produce children. Should we get another tank and expand our turtle collection or is it fine to house two females in the same tank or would give her a proper mate be better. All advise is welcome.
