What are two things in African history you would have liked to see happen differently? (Excluding colonialism)

My two would probably be Nigeria annexing Bioko after Nigerians were expelled from the island, and Nigeria developing a “Black Bomb” as a potential counterweight to apartheid-era South Africa’s nuclear programme.
I’d love to hear other people’s “what if” ideas too. I just think it’s important to remember that these are hypothetical scenarios, so having a different idea shouldn’t be a reason to hate on someone.

the youth of Africa possess so much underutilised power.

I came across this video yesterday whilst coming back from work, and I think I’ve watched it from start to finish dozens of times. The only logical reasoning I can resonate with that would warrant me watching it numerous times is because not once in this video did he tell a lie. As Africans, we should know that when you are at the mercy of these people, they will drain your resources until there is none left, and even upon that revelation, they will search for more. My point of this post is that we are too busy fighting each other to realise it. The African youth have the potential to liberate themselves if we work towards a common goal, and it annoys me that despite everything we have gone through as a continent, we are still divided.

Sorry if it sounds like a random question. I am only asking because I am of Nigerian descent, my father being from Nigeria, Igbo to be exact, whilst my mum is from Mali and Chad. For the first 6 years of my life I was living in N’Djamena. During that time my father had left Chad to go back to Nigeria to enlist in the military. Then they eventually split up before we left Chad to go to the United Kingdom, which I currently reside in. My mother changed my name from Nwachukwu Nwokoro to Moryusiel Khamis Hesha. At this point in time I am doing my International Baccalaureate, which consists of Global Politics, Maths, Economics, Physics, Philosophy and Spanish, with the hopes of getting my degree then going to Nigeria to start my political career from there, starting from enlisting in the army and working from there. I want a stacked record of achievements to further boost my career. My family, starting all the way from my great grandfather, was in the military and it has been the sort of family tradition that has been going on, and I sought to honour that. One part of disagreement I have with my father and my mother, which has been ongoing, is my name, as the name I currently have, especially my middle name, is from Chadian origin whilst it contains nothing of my father’s heritage. My point is, let’s say I do work my way up from military to parliament, then if possible presidential candidate, would my name hinder my chances and, as the original title says, does your name carry any social or political value?
