Future glasses compatibility with AURA puck.
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had any information about whether future glasses by Xreal (not previous models) will be compatible with the AURA puck.
I am really excited to play around and develop for android XR but the fact that they are still 1200p worries me as I would also want to use them all day when working. I don't want it so that in 2 months I will suffer from severe buyers regret.
The main reason I am worried is I have is that Viture has already said they aim to release a 1600p pair of glasses this year, which I would hope means that Xreal is not too far behind (Or Infront as they said they will be first to market with it?).
I and I believe many others are now in a odd position where they are hoping they will not be stuck having to choose between two devices:
- Aura with the amazing Android XR capabilities but only 1200p screens stretched to there limit over 70 degrees.
- New glasses with 1600p+ screens but no Android XR functionality.
For context I had the one pro and I loved it to bits but the only thing that bothered me was the resolution when programming at work, FOV never bothered me as it was bigger than my laptop screen anyway, but hey bigger is always better.
Also I know devices like the URXR One are going to be available, but passthrough for me is not an option unless it is completely imperceptible from reality. I know for a fact that I will not like them as I dislike passthrough in general when I have tried it. to me -> (personal opinion) It always makes the world around me look rubbish and just annoys me that I know It should look crisper and sharper as my eyesight is decent (Weird flex I know).
