4 week old bottle drama

Baby is now 4 weeks old and we’ve been using Nuk perfect match from about 1 week old after breastfeeding didn’t work out. Was fine until about 2.5-3 weeks old when she became extremely frustrated with the slow flow test and bottle were taking 1hr 30 mins. Tried mam bottles and she hate them same with dr brown. We then moved her up to medium flow on Nuk just to get a bottle into her really but it’s totally too fast and she’s not back to being inconsolable about half way through her bottle.
Husband is convinced she’s fine on the Nuk but I know she’s not and thinks I’m stupid going through these different bottles. Gulping and more spit up despite pacing her but obviously the teats too fast but the slow is too slow!? I’m afraid the medium flow is giving her reflux too.

I’ve just put in an order for lansinoh bottles with the slow flow teat to try something else.

She does have a mild tongue tie and I’m 98% sure her formula is really suiting her so I dont think that’s the problem. She’s on kendamil. I got the nuk perfect match after hearing they were great for a nice deep latch.

This is baby 2 but a 9 year gap. We used tomee tippee with the first who had a severe tongue tie and he was also on infacol. And we got his tongue tie released but hadn’t planned to with her since it’s mild and she’s bringing up wind fine.

Any advice please 😭

Reduced movements admission

I’m 39 weeks. I’ve been in three times in 3 weeks with reduced movements and babies movements have been sluggish. However they always are perfect on scans and do loads of movement on the CTG’s that I have. They decided to admit me for the night for more monitoring.

I can’t get a straight answer if this rules me out of my planned homebirth from the doctors and I’m not sure how I feel about induction as they’ve brought that up as well.

Does anyone know what they usually do after frequent reduced movements?

Fed up with prepping for Labour 👹

I’m 37 weeks and FED UP of the labour prep. I just want to lie down and rest but then I remember oh I haven’t done any of my hip opening exercises or gone on a walk or ate some dates. I’ve given up on the raspberry leaf tea there’s no way I can drink 4 cups of that a day.

The most I feel like doing the last few days is sitting on my yoga ball 😂 I don’t even want to cook dinners anymore or do anything. The nesting energy has truly left the party.

RANT over

When to put down for ECCE years

Hey,
Just wondering do I need to put down my child’s name early for the ECCE years, like playschool/montissori?

I know people need to do this for full time crèche places however we work opposite shifts so no need for full time crèche.

Hospital forgot to give me Anti D

Found out today that the hospital forgot to give me my anti D injection. I’m now 33 weeks so have to bring it up at my next clinic but if I didn’t have a growth scan and the lady ask me I probably would have never received it.

I remember getting bloods which are meant to check the rhesus factor of baby but they came back inconclusive and it wasn’t mentioned again.

I got anti D with my 1st baby.

I’m A- but partner isn’t 100% sure of his rhesus factor.

Feel a bit pissed off even though baby is more than likely rhesus -. Like what do you mean you forgot to book that in for me?!

Sick leave query

Was planning to ask to be signed off at 34 weeks however I’m seeing the doctor today 32+3 instead due to hospital want me to see the GP sooner than expected.

Is it possible to ask them to sign me off from 34 weeks? Or will I need to make another appointment? Tbh I could do with finishing up now. Office job but currently lifting heavy 15kg bags from floor to desk and then on to a cart while also dealing with sciatica 😵‍💫

Next to me set up

This is my 2nd baby but 8 year gap and next to mes weren’t a thing it was Moses baskets. Got a Snuzpod 4 2nd hand and currently trying to figure out what way I can set up my bedside.

It seems like no room at all because of the bedside table, then next to me and then I’d have to wiggle down to the end of the bed which I don’t fancy doing immediately post partum 🤣

Like I need the bedside table to have my water bottles, snacks, changing bits etc.

How do other people have it set up without your only exit route to be the very very end of your bed 😭
