There has to be a better way
Every time I set up shop, the top of the door frustrates the hell out of me. The trailer is leveled perfectly, yet I still have to slide the roof back (away from the door) to make room for the top of it to fit under the black plastic knobs. These two little plastic pieces are holding the weight of the roof (laterally) and I don't like it - they will loosen over time because I'm sure the screws are tiny and the holes are probably getting stripped.
Is there a better, stronger way to lock in the door at the top? Alternatively, can anyone provide insight as to why the roof is slid towards the door side in the first place? Having the roof perfectly in place would help fix this too I suppose (until some wind comes by and puts stress on those plastic knobs).
I'm thinking of something like a metal plate that would mount onto the same 4 screws holding the current metal piece (for holding the door up when the trailer is closed) that runs left/right covering an inch of the top of the door. Even a hinged piece that flops down with a barrel bolt or something. I just want strength and reliability (is that too much to ask for a popup trailer?).
