Black bear sighting at W 8th Ave & Beach St
Posted this in the Golden reddit first but thought to post here in the event there are residents in the area:
Reporting a sighting of what appeared to be a decently sized black bear heading East on W 8th Ave about 45 minutes ago. Could be in the Welchester Park area by now. No pictures were taken because phone not around. Not familiar with protocol here or if other agencies need to be notified, also not sure how often bears frequent the area.
We had to do a double take since we first thought it was a huge dog but the tail end was definitely a bear.
