Looking for advice on moving job in tax
Hello
I have worked in personal, partnership and trust tax for 3 years now as a tax assistant, but with alot of experience of independent working and managing small client lists of 50ish clients due to senior absences.
I am 50% through my ATT course (fingers crossed for monday) and due to do my business tax and compliance exams in November.
Unfortunately my wife’s and my own family are getting older and are starting to need more assistance with not much support locally. We are preparing to buy a home soon anyway and have decided we will buy in our home county in the South West as we moved 3-4hrs away due to university and stuck about.
I am finding the job situation the most logistically challenging and would appreciate some advice.
I need to stick about at my current firm until im done with ATT due to fee clawbacks, but I know some firms will fund you to continue studies/cover this fee.
Does anyone know any firms/tax practices that are either fully remote, or cornwall based and mostly remote or hybrid? I want to avoid buying a home until a new role is sorted so if it is fully remote that means I could start sooner/if they let me start fully remote and are local to the area we move I can then work in the office.
Any recommendations would be great! I am pretty flexible as long as I complete my ATT. Just mainly would like to avoid moving home and job at the same time or having to rent while I pass probation.
Thanks!
