Oregon rockhounding trip

Heya, just wanted to drop some pics of rocks from our little trip to the Eastern side of our great state. These are just the ones on my phone plus an extra of the Alvord desert mudflat for ya.

Thanks everyone for commiserating with me! It's frustrating and I hope that person is done being a little jerk.

Hey gang, I've been having my landscaping plants stolen and I'm not sure what to do. So far it has been two small Agave parryi and a small clump of Puya spathacea I had planted a few weeks back that I got at Hortlandia. I also had a whole large prickly pear ripped out of the ground right before Christmas.

It breaks my heart that someone just ripped them out of the ground, likely not knowing what they were or how to grow them. Had they asked I would have willingly either shared a division of something if I had it or point them to a vendor but now they're just gone. I don't have any interest in putting up public-facing cameras in our already overly monitored world, and I doubt police would give a damn.

Is this normal for anyone else? Do people just... Steal your plants?! Should I make a little sign saying "Please stop stealing my plants, it makes my heart hurt 🥺"?

Hey gang, I grew this little beast from a pad, and I'm seeking a bit of help with making a positive ID. My best guess is O. x alta, based on the few spines, dense clustering of glochids, and stiff upright form that reminds me of other arborescent Opuntia. Unfortunately no flowers yet to help with ID. It feels like it wants to be big!

*No location ID included because this was not collected by me from a wild population*
