Hoping someone answers before I go into work, I forgot to ask last night and I forgot to ask my manager before they left on vacation
I just haven’t done it in so long I don’t remember how to do it

So I’m a rehire, I’ve never signed up before until last night
I signed up for dental and eye vision. But when can I actually use them?
So I quit back in Nov 2025, I got rehired and my background check cleared today, my manager is going my I-9 tomorrow morning,
Will my employee ID # be the same? or will another one be given to me along with having to make a new DGme account?
About 7 months ago I put in my two weeks and started a different job at a grocery store
The main reason I quit was because I was getting paid the minimum wage for a ASM in Cali which is ($18) and I couple days before my last day I found out that the previous ASM (who was hired by the dm) was getting paid $23 an hour or maybe a few dollars more I don’t remember, I was also overwhelmed because I had a lot of personal stuff going on (my grandma who raised me had recently passed away) so I made the impulse decision to quit
The dm at the time disliked me, he didn’t want me to be my managers ASM, my manager had to pretty much beg him multiple times
I started working self checkout ($18/hr) at the new store (different company) but I quickly decided I hated just standing there for 8 hours a day so I asked to get trained in other departments but I also hated it
Management sucks there in general, and they hardly ever fire anyone, you can show up drunk to work, drink on the job (as long as no one sees you), be racist to customers who don’t speak English at all or speak a small amount, talk sexually about other coworkers behind their back(or just harass your coworkers), get in arguments with other coworkers and make a scene, also get into arguments with customers and yell at them and make a scene about it. And management doesn’t do anything. All that has been going on for years and I’ve only worked there for 6 months and all those people that constantly do that are still working there, and all I can think of is how my former manager would had fired all these people along time ago, because a few times it did happen and she immediately fired those people when I worked at DG
I made one friend who makes work tolerable but if it wasn’t for her I would had quit months ago, she’s quitting in August for her internship and I thought about going back to DG.
I went to talk to my former manager and she said that yes she would rehire me as ASM for $20/hr or more if she could talk to DM into it and I could have Friday/Saturday off, but she needed to speak to the dm which is a different dm, she needs to speak to him because she already has a ASM(which the ASM isn’t so great from what I’ve heard) but her store is suppose to have 2 ASMs
So am I dumb/stupid for wanting to go back?
I never had or have an issue with any of my previous coworkers
