I've been trying to be more intentional about leaving reviews for things I purchase but honestly I'm kind of unsure about the whole process. Do most people actually use the product first and then review it or do you read through what others already said and kind of build your thoughts from there? Also if I do buy something and write a review about it what am I supposed to do with the product afterwards. Like do you keep it or does it feel weird to have something sitting around that you already publicly rated. Last thing I'm curious about is what actually matters when you're writing these things. Are people more interested in hearing about durability and build quality or like the practical day to day experience of using it. Would love some examples of what made a review actually helpful to you when you were deciding whether to buy something.
Whether its a YouTube video, a blog post or just a random reddit comment. What do you actually want to see covered? Like what makes you trust a review enough to actually act on it?
