My cat is almost 16 years old. Ive had her since she was 4 weeks old. Found her one night after work on my porch, im assuming she got lost from mommy and the others.

She immediately become my best friend after basically saving her life from worms, flea infested and other issues.

Shes fixed, fat and lazy.

Ok,

So we've always made sure she was good. Always.

Recently one of my other cats had gotten outside and brought back earmites. As soon as I realized, I ordered medicine and was waiting on it when I discovered my Besties ear becoming swollen. Took her to the vet, vet said its a hematoma and she should absorb it. To just give her the meds i have coming.

Well, I tried, a day or 2 later her ear got bigger and I couldnt get the meds in. So I phoned the vet, got the GOOD topical earmite meds

For her.

Still waiting on the swelling to go down.

So this is my question.

Previously she was still so active and spunky and not acting old at all.

Im worried this is gonna cause her to start to decline considering her age.

Do yu guys think she'll snap out of it after she feels better? Or should I start planning her cremation???
