PSA for customers: "ok" response is not ok

PSA for customers: "ok" response is not ok

It irks me when I communicate I'm doing something, and it's replied with "ok". Most people say thanks, thumbs up, or not replying at all. Each is perfectly acceptable.

But I read ok like ok peasant, you have my leave to proceed with your mundane task. Keep me informed of further updates, or it's the gallows for you.

Look, we appreciate some response to know you see our 1st message. It's kinda nice when you say thanks (but don't overdo it, it's a flag for no/low tip and just distracting)

But if it's between ok or nothing, please choose no response.

Thank you, rant over.

PS. Also avoid replying "fine" to a substitute message. Fine, substitute? Or fine that it's no stock? And from being married, I know fine isn't fine.

I still haven't used any of my 10'000 shop milestone

So bad... short time before hitting, they switch from a modest but significant show of appreciation, to a bonus system supposedly worth $500.. which I consider an insult.

Even worse, real world value probably averages more like a $200-$300. A $500 Target gift card would be so much better.

10,000 shops, lifetime 4.98 ratings and 100% on time. Yes, it's evident how many f's you give about the Shoppers.

How do they not grandfather anyone over 9k when they decided to "improve the program based on Shopper feedback "?

This is just one example, but there's plenty where the value per point is under 4 cents, very few coming close to 10 cents/ point.

I have to apologize for my eye rolls (ratings)

Honest... a veteran Shopper posts they are whacked with poor ratings... Sorry, I'm skeptical. I mean, how could I believe Shipt would game the system?

So now I'll sound like the other posts.. Before this, I was lifetime 5 flat for reviews & 100% on-time. I rarely take unknowns, mostly preferred (i have over 600 in this market)

I last worked Monday (hip replacement). As normal, everyone recent tipped, nothing happened unusual. I sometimes get a bundle with an unknown/ non tipper, but none in the last 6 days i worked.

Today (Wednesday), within 2 hours, I get 3 low scores. One? OK, I get a low ever 200 or so, most get forgiveness. Two? Strange coincidence, especially with me not working a couple days & all recent tipped. Three all at once? It's like the odds of hitting the lottery.

Because I was shopping with a bad hip, I have been very conservative recently. Only taking certain orders, ones that should be delivered by the beginning of the order etc. And Blind scan upc, audit before checkout, over communication, you know blah- blah- blah

For all those Veterans who posted about an unusual whacking of bad reviews... please forgive me 😕

Shipt... seriously, if you're going to game the veteran Shoppers, be less obvious 😀

Missing the good days, with automatic $10 tip 20 minutes before the window

8 minutes before the window, not even a dollar. Sad

Sometimes they'd even throw $20. Those were the days.

Can't blame Shipt. It's not their fault that someone will accept anything

3 items for $15? Extra Pay? Newbies beware.

Little 4th of July gift to our beloved newbies.... know the math.

First, most areas pay about 27 cents a minute. 53 x $0.27 = $14.31 ... the added pay is only $1, and it's just as insulting as a $1 tip

Next, shopping minutes are better than driving minutes. 23 miles? Assuming both ways not counting driving to store, you're actually owning money if expenses are $0.50/mile ...even after the estimate tip.

And yet, while I'm writing this someone took it. I mean, whatever, people make their own decisions. But it's also clear that Shipt fleeces newbie shoppers that aren't looking at the entire picture.

Be safe, and if you're working don't let them disrespect you with unprofitable orders 🎇
