This is a gray dy9z appreciation post. I didn't know when I got it that the gray is Dunham's sports exclusive? Does anyone else have one? I admit I did want the black cherry, but the gray has a certain distinction to it.
The DOJ released a memo in January saying that they want to replace the 1927 law that prohibits shipping of pistols and revolvers through the USPS. The time for public comments just ended.
Fortunately, not for reddit. What are everyone's thoughts? Do you too think it will create "an illegal arms pipeline" through America, or will it just save everyone time and money to no longer have to go to a FFL?
I'm glad to say I recently got the dy9z as my first striker fired pistol, and while it is a very enjoyable gun to shoot I have been unfortunately running into some problems. The biggest one I've had the trigger fail to reset three times, on two separate range trips. The first time I took it out, it was bad. There's no other way to put it. It was failing to feed more than it was feeding with only the factory magazine. The trigger reset was more upsetting. Is this a known problem, because I've been lurking here, and looking around on YouTube and I can't find anything about it on the dy9z only one post about it with the dy9. After the first trip out I absolutely ruined 15 hollow points and gave myself blisters dry running the ammo through it to try to smooth the feeding out. The second trip out was much much better. No failure to feeds, but the trigger did fail to reset once. However I was expecting it this time so I cleared it and it operated properly. Again this trip was with the factory mag only. My third trip out I didn't have any trigger reset problems, but the failure to feed was back. In a twist it was only with the act mag magazine I bought directly off deryas website! In addition, the act mag will not lock the slide back at all. Now I'm willing to blame the failure to feed on the Winchester white box ammo, but the slide not locking back on what is marketed as the premium magazine option is highly concerning.
Does anyone have any advice or experience with either trigger reset failure or the act mags?
