After a long Jewish life I still don't understand which Jewish surnames are clocked by Non-Jews as being Jewish. I consider my own name as instantly recognizable but outside NYC that's just not true. What names do THEY see as being Jewish? Does it depend on the locale? Education level? Can any generalizations at all be made?
When I create a text box, I frequently find (before I change the font) that the first font utilized by text box is a font I deleted long ago. Anyone know how this can be? Anyone have an idea how to stop it? I'm running LO25.2.6.2 on a Windows 10 laptop.

'm looking for currently available fonts that replicate standard serif book fonts frequently used by the big New York publishing houses. I've looked around in numbers of free font websites and have been somewhat surprised not to be able to find reasonably similar replicas or close relatives to these popular old fonts. Unfortunately, I'm not an experienced font person and don't know the names of these fonts, which is why I'm here on r/identifythisfont . I attach three screenshots of pages with the kind of fonts I'm searching for. The heaviness and clunkiness of the fonts appeals to me. If anyone could name and tell me where I might look for them, I'd much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
