This Haymitch scene gives Sunrise on the Reaping vibes
Here, Haymitch feels a little wild and rebellious in his reaction. He laughs aloud at Katniss shooting at the gamemakers and feels more like the champion of the underdogs that he was in SOTR.

I also loved how Candy’s pamphlet knowledge was a key plot point in the road trip episode.
Also, the squirrel bath was equal parts hilarious and terrifying.
Maybe three years just makes that big of a difference?
The designs (at least of monster mode) seem pretty similar. Additionally, they are both moving in a spider-like manner and both demand to eat an impressive amount of food… Although, in the end, Soos eats the Summerween Trickster (which didn’t happen in Spirited Away, but really, it should have. Every story could use a little more Soos in it).
Escaping your boyfriend (who’s secretly a bunch of gnomes)? Better put on a seatbelt.
Carving a wax figure with a bunch of pointy tools? Don’t forget your eye protection.
Hunting down a legendary monster? Remember your sunscreen.
It just makes me appreciate GF even more because these moments are woven in so seamlessly. Safety first, even in the chaos!
Can I help it if I’m addicted? KPop Demon Hunters makes everything better
I loved Meg Cabot growing up, but I might need some different descriptions for her adult books…
