Risk Assessment - R2 road trip to Western NC shortly after delivery
I live in South Florida and just got my order invite. Day one reservation holder and super excited. Do not own an R1 nor do I lease. Planning to finalize my order this week.
I'm contemplating taking a two-week road trip to Western North Carolina in mid-December. As a native Floridian I have little to no experience driving in snow/ice. I assume the weather is generally pretty mild in Western NC (been many times before but not in winter). I'll be staying mostly in the Nantahala area but may bounce around a couple towns while there. I'll be doing some hiking, but no off-roading or anything that adventurous.
Would this be a terrible idea with a new R2? It seems the nearest service center is in Duncan, SC if I run into any issues. I'm a little more concerned about car issues since the R2 is still new and production issues are probably more common.
Hopefully I get a solid few weeks to identify any issues before the trip, but just figured I'd ask the community here.
