Blazer is not a Hypocrite

I wanted to write this post to address a common perception in the main sub that I feel is still quite prevalent.

I’ve noticed a significant number of players judging the morality of a decision almost entirely based on its outcome. The general view is that if the outcome turn out to be a success then decision become good & if it fails then decison becomes bad.

Whether it is about cutting Visi in epi 7 or cutting Coupé or Sonar in epi 3, there is an underlying assumption that is subconsciously active that "what the player can predetermined by looking at the larger picture of the story & how the story events could unfold, the characters in the game are also somewhat expected to make decisions with the same hindsight". They are already expected to see the full picture same as players.

In a recent post in the main sub, someone described it as hypocritical for Blazer to straight up suggesting to cut off Visi after her disobedience, while later using a softer parental approach when trying to reconcile with former Z-Team members whom she had previously cut.

I genuinely want to know how blazer using COLD approach would have helped the situation any better? Especially when a former employee is already standing against her in the battle field.

If I have a slightest chance to convince my opponent, making them to stop causing further destruction and assist heroes in saving lives which might makeup for all the destruction they cause & potentially earn their seat back in the z-team. Then why would I not take a SOFT approach first. How is that being a hypocrite?

Is it because Blazer boldly brought the decision to fire Visi after the tragedy of epi 6, so she expected to react the same? Visi's decision to go on a mission alone eventually turn out to be successful in the end, Not disputing this at all. However what happened that day was an extremely serious incident, and no reasonable management would simply brush it aside without atleast again ATLEAST considering removing her.

Whether Visi ultimately gets cut is still at Robert's/player's discretion. But the decision to consider cutting her isn't inherently unreasonable. Blazer can't see the future. A person can make a perfectly rational decision based on the circumstances in front of them and their understanding of the situation at that moment. Whether that decision eventually produces a good or bad outcome is not something they can control. Same in case of Coupe or Sonar. So, she don't have to be apologetic about her decision if it was made with a rational analysis.

The joy in kicking this shit talker's ass is impeccable.

I was watching epi 1 after a long time & realised how much I uncontrollably laughed during my 1st playthrough when the Mecha Suit kicked the f#ck out of his toxic ass in the air with such a brute force that throws him out of the window before he turn real toxic & flashes his Ding Dong. 😂

During my 1st playthrough, I was mad with the amount of shit load he was blabbering about Robert's father, So, I wanted Robert to beat the crap out him (since earlier that day I choosed to forgive him by Not dropping him from the balcony when I had the chance). Then, when the option "Punt" & "Stomp" appears on the screen. I choosed the option "Punt" out of curiosity since I didn't knew the meaning of this word at that time. And then this funny shit happened.

Based on what we get from S1, In my view toxic is the best character in the Negative role, he is funny af. I hope Adhoc don't forgive this character since we are now done with the red ring & bring him back in S2 with more interaction & prominent role.

Meet Birdie Robertson (by artisticalmaniac)

Caption from the original source:

"Birdie Robertson!! Mandy thought giving birth as Blonde Blazer would be easier…it was not. The Hospital Room got a few burns, and Birdie Got glowing Blonde hair for a year as a baby. But!! Otherwise she was healthy!! No powers though. Just like her Daddy"

Why did you thought she would turn into?

Fellow Glazers, what did you truly expect she would turn into when she said "Lower your expectations". I don't remember if this question was ever properly asked in this sub. So, please honest answer only by those who were not spoiled from somewhere else before this scene came up.

Edit: please ignore the title it should be "what" not "why".

Behold this Powerful Blazing Duo + Mecha Blazer

I know it's not possible but it would be so cool to see Blonde Blazer & Star Blazer fighting together side-by-side. Also, the third image is what I believe is a good representation of what Robert might look like if he put on the Amulet. I couldn't came up with a good name for his version of Blazer, so I called him Mecha Blazer (*I know it's ship name for BB & Mechaman*). Do you have any good name to suggest? then please do.

Mandy or Blazer?

Just a random thought came to my mind. In S2 if we get the second date then for the people(including me) who choosed "Either". In which form doing you think Mandy will finally decide to come on a date. Mandy or Blazer? I know most people would say 'Mandy' because that's her original self, that's where she can just be herself and I too agree with that. However, it's not like she can't be her real self in Blazer form anymore especially around Robert, now that he & others knows her truth. I tends to believe that she is most likely gonna be Mandy. But then after I try to dissect her personality from the information we have, I'm not able to finalize one solid answer. Because I keep thinking what if this time she decides to show Robert "what a date with Blonde Blazer look like?" tbh even I don't know what does that suppose to mean😅. Anyways do you think Dev will give a complete new surprise or will they handle it quite uniquely for the people who choosed 'either'. Please give your inputs.

Unpopular Opinion, but hear me out

I might get a heat for this, but hear me out. I don't remember the exact stats but I guess most people had chosen to glass this guy, even I had in my first playthrough. However, now when I look back at it, I think 'let it go' was a much better option. I mean he saw us sad & depressed and chooses to offer us a free drink to cheer us up. Being a bartender of a villian bar, I won't expect him to be all nice & respectful while speaking of a woman anyways, beside it's not like he is aware of our personal relationship with Blazer to put some restraint on his tongue for the moment. Ofcourse, had he been crossing some more line & keep blabbering shit about her then I might wanna go further than just glassing him. However, I think he was still quite better than the bartender of the hero bar from epi 1, who just throw you out even though Flambae was the one who agitate the conflict.

Also, I think shroud killing this guy was too far for a step. I mean he don't deserve to die just for saying that 😭. I belive this was also the reason why I did not spared shroud in my first playthrough. Because all the innocent souls who have lost their life because of him & his goons would remain devoid of Justice if I let him get away. Also, I had the fear that leaving him spared might make him pain in the ass for Robert later on.

This is just a lightweight opinion of mine. I'm not very defensive about it. So feel free to redicule me on this.

Why Visi's happy ending is not Visi's alone

The game made it pretty clear that Chase always had this doubtfulness and skepticism about whether villains could truly be reformed. He kind of viewed heroes and villains in very black-and-white terms. Even though he seems quite stressed & disappointed by the whole team, he is especially alert and wary of Invisigal. Even Robert calls him out on that, but why only Invisigal?

Chase was the one who vouched to let Elliot join the Brave Brigade, while Robert's father expressed his unfaith in Elliot. Chase didn't seem to agree with those concerns at the time. However, that belief didn't last long when Elliot soon killed his colleague in cold blood. It seems that, from that point on, Chase carried a great deal of guilt and saw himself as partly responsible for what happened to his colleague.

That kind of explains why this protective uncle is so wary of Visi. As he don't want the same fate to repeat again with Robert this time around. But it also explains why his wariness toward Visi isn't very specific to her. Had Coupe, Prism, or Malevola approached Robert in the same way Visi did, I believe Chase would have acted the same toward them. This also explains why he doesn't seem to believe in the Phoenix Program as much as Robert and Blazer do, instead only carrying it out because it's his duty at SDN.

So, this whole arc feels like a winning moment for Chase too When Visi finally becomes a hero, his beliefs are finally challenged,& forced him to contemplate his worldview again. In the end, he seems to regain some of his optimism back.

We might not experience his arc in its full fledge due to the comics hidden behind the paywall but it runs quite parallel the main story if we observe.

Do you agree that Chase has now changed and would feel more at ease around the rookies in SDN as one can interpret based on the last scene? Or do you think there's still some skepticism left in him, even if it's only subtle?
