Found this weevil-free certificate in a box of sweet potatoes
I’m a manager of a supermarket in Iceland and this was in a box of sweet potatoes that came on the veg delivery today. I took it home and stuck it on the fridge because I think it’s neat!

I’m off to Corsica in September and hoping to do at least a few day hikes. But I also live and hike entirely in Iceland, and I learned on my last holiday abroad that neither me nor my clothing is suited to anything more than 15-20c with a nice arctic breeze and some cloud coverage.
I really want to enjoy Corsica and see some nature, instead of being a miserable sweaty mess like I was for most of Albania. I figure I probably need to dress like I’m going on a Sahara trek (my body will certainly think I am) to have any chance of a good time so… what sort of clothing do I need? What materials will keep me alive? Do I want shorts and t-shirt, or more skin coverage? Would hiking sandals be worth a look?
Any suggestions to help me survive at lower latitudes will be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: thanks for the tips folks! I’ll be doing some internet shopping this weekend and getting myself some new goodies
As it says in the title! I think it was American, I remember seeing it on British TV on (I’m guessing) Cartoon Network. I think it was based around a trio of friends (I think two guys and a girl) at school. Maybe around 10-15 years old.
In one episode they go to a pizza place and there are printers at the table that print out the pizzas. I don’t think it was a sci-fi themed show, this was just some sort of quirky thing in their world. General vibe was “real-world by cartoon standards” if that makes sense.
It is also possible that at one point in that episode or another episode, one of the characters says something like “does it ever feel like your pee has stuff in it?”. But that might be from a different show and I’m just smashing the memories together. In which case that’s a post for the future!
Been living in Iceland for 10 years and every time I drive long distances in this country I find myself sorely missing being able to get an overpriced Ginsters at a dingy Welcome Break. It just doesn’t feel like a proper big drive without it. First thing I did when I last went back to the UK was get a Ginsters in the airport WH Smith’s. It tasted exactly as shite as I remembered and the price made my debit card wince. Home sweet home 🥹
