How do I apply Glyphosate without giving myself cancer?
Literally the title. I have Japanese knotweed in my backyard and it’s spreading. Roundup does nothing. I’m going to have to buy 41% glyphosate on amazon …
Except I’m terrified of glyphosate. How can I apply while protecting myself? Obviously protective gear but like…. I’m terrified. It’s the only way though ugh…
I hate Japanese knotweed so much and it wont go away.

Looking to buy!
I’m starting to look into keeping moths as pets and raising them to give me some kind of hobby and be less lonely, these creatures are beautiful and I’ve always wanted to raise moths or butterflies. I would love to start with rosy maple moth’s due to them being a local species, but I’m not dead set on them. As I’m buying kits and doing research on how to take the proper care for them, I’d like to take the opportunity and ask if anyone sells eggs or anything that would might be willing to sell me which I could begin my start. Thanks!

Weird stuff on our milk weed. Not sure what it is but the ants are going crazy for it?

This wasp eats flies that take chunks out of you and mammals
American sand wasp, loves mint flowers gorgeous pale green eyes, makes a loud buzz and rarely stops for a photo. Eats horse flies, green heads and other biting flies. Very gentle and solitary.

It's a Monarch Bonanza!
I planted native plants given through a city run program. This year the milkweed has been a magnet for monarch caterpillars. I've seen at least 11 caterpillars and so far 9 confirmed chrysalis(es?)
Let's see if I can actually see one coming out!

IPM bug of the day
This is something you might see in your garden and a good reason to think twice about spraying any pesticides.
This is a hover (syrphid) fly pupa. It resembles a water drop and is formed after the larvae eats massive numbers of garden pests.
The friendly wiggle butt hover fly is easily seen inside and will eclose to pollinate your garden and make more larvae.
If you spray, you kill the good bugs as well as the bad. Watching the natural predators care for your food is delightful and makes gardening more interesting and fun.

Wasp people how long is a tiny nest active?
I have a paper wasp nest that the queen made under a stone w about 1 inch of clearance to the ground. It is a flat stone propped on my seam of the bulkhead doors. It can grow out, but there's no room.
If this happens, do they keep it small and stop using it or do they just make it a flat nest?
