Do you also consider having only one partner to be personal hygiene?

Have you ever wondered how personal hygiene influences mental health?

Personal hygiene has a much greater impact on mental health than it seems. When I feel clean and well-groomed, I tend to have a lot of self-confidence, my self-esteem and mood are higher, and therefore I feel that I transmit that positive energy to others and everything goes better. The opposite also happens to me; when I go through periods of emotional exhaustion or stress, I often neglect my personal hygiene, so I resort to resuming these daily habits to feel better about myself.

Am I a jerk for kicking my mother-in-law out of my house?

My mother-in-law has been living with us for two months now, but I can't stand her anymore. This woman is very meddlesome; she wants to control our personal lives and is never happy with what I do, from how I dress to how I prepare food for her son. And she's very good at making up stories to sow distrust in my husband and create conflicts.

Hygiene is not just about “looking clean”: it also protects your mind and your health

These small habits make a big difference in preventing illness:

Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.

Clean your cell phone regularly: it can accumulate more bacteria than you think.

Keep your skin moisturized after showering.

Don't share personal items like toothbrushes or towels.

Ventilate enclosed spaces daily.

Personally, I'm disgusted by other people's sweat, and in gyms it's very common to see machines dripping with sweat, so I apply and clean with my disinfectant.

In my case, my best friend is suffering from bad breath. I feel uncomfortable every time we talk. Yesterday we went out for ice cream and he wanted to share his with me, but honestly, it disgusted me. I don't know how to tell him about his problem without him getting upset with me.
