Hi! I’m very new to cyanotype so it’s a lot of trial and error. The two prints below are made on the same paper and then washed under cold tap + H2O2 spray
The richer blue one was developed under the sun, and the pale one was developed under a 50ish Watt UV lamp for 10ish min (the time was chosen based on some info I found here).

Can someone explain how come the second print lost all its ‘blueness’?

Thanks

Insta360 tried to deny my legal refund rights. Here’s what happened and what you should know (UK customers especially)

TL;DR: Insta360 tried to refuse my return using their own internal policy. UK law gives you 30 days regardless. Cited the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and eventually got a full refund. Their support team needs better training on UK consumer rights.

I recently went through a frustrating experience trying to return an Insta360 Pet Harness Mount due to genuine quality issues, and I want to share it because I think other customers particularly in the UK should know their rights.

The harness had two significant issues:

- The camera mount repeatedly came loose within about 20 minutes of being secured, even after tightening with the Allen key

- The front harness adjusters constantly loosened despite being tightened and secured which is genuinely unsafe for a dog

I had already tried every troubleshooting step before contacting support (equal strap lengths, anti-tilt accessory, anti-slip rings), and it didn’t help

What Insta360 support did

1.	Refused my return outright, citing their internal 15-day return window policy

2.	Offered me £6 as a “goodwill gesture” and suggested I rehome the product to someone in my community 💀

3.	Sent me a list of troubleshooting steps I’d already tried

4.	When I pushed back citing the CRA, they eventually agreed to a full refund, but framed it as a “special case” and “goodwill”, not as my legal right

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if a product is not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose, you have the right to a full refund within 30 days of purchase. No retailer’s internal return policy whether 15 days or otherwise can override this. It is the law.

Insta360’s support team either doesn’t know this or is hoping you don’t. Don’t accept a flat refusal, a token goodwill payment, or endless troubleshooting loops. Cite the CRA 2015 clearly and firmly.

After several rounds of back and forth, I got a full refund with no return required. But it shouldn’t have taken quoting consumer law multiple times to get there.

If you’re in the UK and in a similar situation, stand your ground. Happy to answer any questions.
