My Vote for the Genre of P6's Music - Witch House

It's still quite underground right now, but, if they want to go in an atmospheric, creepy direction as they seem, I think Witch House is probably one of the best genres out there, especially if they want something that's still a little unexpected!

For Those Looking for a Harry Potter-alternative: Stealing from Wizards

I saw the author promoting his work on Instagram and explicitly saying that he opposes Rowling and wanted to write a better, more inclusive series! Sounded really great and thought maybe this sub would appreciate it! Here's something to recommend to people who want to replace Harry Potter with something or who might be reluctant to let Harry Potter go if something can't fill the gap!

I think I might have figured out what Time Walk's cost is and OH NO!

What the title says.

First, I should say that I'm actually totally fine if Enjin lives with no other consequences. It's a shounen anime, there's hardly ever any actual consequences to long, drawn-out battles, and the only reason why people think that's not how it is is because we just got off a rash of shounen animes like BNHA and JJK and Chainsaw Man where characters get horribly maimed (BNHA) and/or bloodily murdered (JJK and Chainsaw Man) pretty regularly, but, as an older anime fan, I'm here to tell you guys that that is NOT NORMAL for shounen anime! Go read something slightly older like Naruto or Bleach and you'll see what I mean.

But, to the main point of my post, I think I MIGHT know what Time Walk's cost is which explains what's going on with Enjin right now, why his wound opened up and why no one, but the Hell Guard can heal him.

I think, essentially, Time Walk didn't freeze time, it basically just ACCELERATED Enjin faster than everyone else, allowing him to APPEAR like time was frozen, but he was just moving incredibly fast. This explains the cost because I think, basically, Time Walk used Enjin's Vital Energy to accelerate him and so now he's basically burned through ALL of his extra Vital Energy and he's basically not a Giver anymore, he doesn't have any more Vital Energy to spare for his Vital Instrument.

That's why I think his wound opened up, someone like Eishia healed it with a Vital Instrument and it had been kept closed by Vital Energy which was burned through and used up by Time Walk (Fun fact, this is LITERALLY actually how scars and wounds heal. They don't just close up, the body ACTIVELY has to work to keep them closed! That's why, in conditions like scurvy, all the old wounds open up! Vitamin C is VERY important to keeping them closed and running out makes them open up again!) and why Lily and Eishia's Vital Energy couldn't close his wound, there was basically no Vital Energy available to close it with. Enjin's body is kind of inert now, it might have even shortened his lifespan, but, even if it didn't, his body only has enough Vital Energy to keep him alive, not enough to harness for anyone else's or his Vital Instruments. That's why the Hell Guard could save him, because they just use normal medical techniques like stitching it closed. I think this also might point to an even deeper danger with Time Walk and the rest of the Watchmen Series, even potentially what might have happened to Canis. If ONE use of Time Walk burned through ALL of Enjin's extra Vital Energy, what would happen if he used it REPEATEDLY?!

A part of me kind of hopes I'm wrong, poor Rudo is going to be DEVASTATED over this, and I very well could be. Like I said, I'm totally fine if this kind of just goes away and Enjin's neck opening up and not healing is the only price he pays. Shounen battle anime is supposed to be a fun power fantasy with some cool worldbuilding and mysteries and it's the worldbuilding, characters, and mystery that I'm here for with Gachiakuta, plus Urana's gotten ENOUGH death threats already just for HAVING BLACK CHARACTERS in her story. Still, I can't say this doesn't explain what happened and potentially points to what the next arc might be, them going to see if there's a way to get Enjin is Giver abilities back!

Why JK Rowling Failed At Writing Voldemort

It does my heart good to see Joanne getting more and more criticism lately. It makes me start to hope that the tide might finally be turning and her star might finally be beginning to fall.
