What do you guys think the velvet room would look like
How much would it differ from the previous games
I really hope im wrong but I can totally see this...
I firmly believe persona 6 is coming out in 2027, but...
I don't think we will see Persona 6 again until the XBOX partner event they have every March (this year Strange than Heaven was the big spotlight and even got its own showcase with Xbox, and im sure Persona will be the next Sega game XBOX highlights).
why?
Two reasons:
- If Persona 6 is such a dramatic improvement to Persona 4, it can dilute the hype associated with Persona 4
- The characters are a HUGE part of the Persona series, and if they show Persona 6 off again, it will no doubt show the characters... and I don't think they want the P6 squad messing with the marketing of the P4 squad.
- Wada san's quote... I know we all think people are interpreting it INCORRECTLY (and at first I agreed)... but what if he literally meant what everyone initially thought he meant?... the quote can be interpreted both ways.
Persona 6th Sense
Hopefully i’ve not missed it and someone has already speculated/suggested it, but with the game having apparent paranormal themes to it, do you think the protag, and/or someone else on their team like the mascot for example, will have a ‘sixth sense’ and can see or speak with dead people which is how we investigate what’s going on?
Also what are your theories/wants for the mascot character? I’m personally hoping for a voodoo doll or something along those lines that the protag can carry in their bag like Morgana or Lufel and would be pretty incognito - or a lost friendly spectre/ghost/any other word for it that follows you around, but only Persona users can see them so they can sit in class or wander around without being noticed. Also, on the topic of voodoo dolls, maybe there’s the possibility of the main team using voodoo dolls (maybe of themselves?) to summon their Personas similar to how SEES have to use the evokers on themselves to help to bring them out. Thoughts?
How long do you think P6 will be?
For just the main game completion, we have P4G at 60-70 hours, and P5R at 120-130 hours. I would love it if it was even longer, but being realistic do we think its going to be around P5R length? Shorter? Longer?
Persona 6’s Velvet room
What do you guys think Persona 6’s velvet room will be?
My main theory is that it’ll be an interrogation room because of questioning yourself (also goes with a creepy theme). Or maybe anything along the lines of questioning yourself.
John Persona 6 hypothesis
John Persona 6 uses mirrors to summon persona. like others have said, its self identity and jungian. John Persona 6 is also blonde which is a typical hair color of vampires, especially in anime and manga so its highly likely John Persona 6 persona might be dracula or some vampire variant. john persona 5 has a western based persona so its not something new.

Vampires do not have reflections (something silver yada yada). This ties well with the fact that all persona protagonists are wild cards and the fact that John Persona 6 has no reflection in the mirror would explain his ability to hold different personas within himself (persona 6 maskot: no way, john persona 6! you dont have a reflection?! thats super weird, persona users always have reflections of who they really are! that might explain why you can hold different personas!). This also links well with the self identity theme and the "who are you" in the teaser trailer. The graves also reinforce the horror theme, monsters, and importantly the story of grando, the "first real vampire" that arised from the grave to terrorize people.

thats it for my presentation, i came up with this after reading the posts here about possible persona summoning and possible protag persona. peace
My crackpot predictions
The MCs base persona is gonna be psy damage based
The girl we’ve seen is gonna be the ice damage unit
The velvet room is gonna be either a morgue or a museum room, with the mc popping out of one of those body shelves, the museum velvet room ties in with my crackpot summoning method
The summoning method could be something like copying down a image of the persona and then having it appear from the image, for the mcs stuff it could be them painting persona, another could be taking a photo or something similar to that. The idea is that each persona would be like a different art form or a very different art style, with whatever the all out attack equivalent being changing the art style to it. Think the mc could be something more classical, a more dark fairytale-esc for the ice unit, think like Emily Carroll. Or like the fire character would have a more comic book style.
Lastly my final idea is the personas are gonna famous classical monsters or horror characters, think Dracula, Frankensteins monster and the like
Definitely not real leak
I will answer a few questions before leaving, but you will have to be quick. I probably won't answer anything for extreme spoilers, it does somehow end up feeling better than Persona 5 and I want people to enjoy the experience.
There's a big gameplay segment in the playtest, from clubroom to dungeon. The dungeon is an art exhibition which seems to be Louvre themed, big paintings, greek statues, etc. Just before we did the playtest, we saw a similar section and some close-ups of assets from Persona 5. The graphical differences were immense, Persona 5 feels very PS3 in comparison. This game looks and plays better than Metaphor.
Game details:
"Judgement" is the arcana the game is based on, the game is based on "looks being deceiving" and how the art students become the "best artists" by understanding and living life over drawing pictures on a canvas.
The direction of the game is social identity horror. Judgement can be positive or negative, and there might be a "right" and "wrong" way to live life that doesn't always line up with being "lawfully" right.
- The thieves den equivalent is the occult club, you lead a team of exorcists
- The velvet room is an old cathedral that "restores" itself over the course of the game
- One of the antagonists is an actual murderer, another cast member commits suicide (cyberbullying), the protagonist (blonde guy) is the son of a priest that ended up doing something bad
Mechanic details:
- 24 new personas, low level persona scale better at higher levels
- First month of game is April, last playable month at school is February but there is content beyond this month
- There is an "investigation" the team do before entering a dungeon, you have to literally find the the curse before you can summon your way into the "other world"
- Bonds have two tiers, public and private. Dialogue options with your party members influence your relationship with them, but not as much as direct interaction
- Dungeon footage I've seen: abandoned building, castle, art exhibition, graveyard/catacombs
Release date is TBC, but likely Spring 2028, game might be delivered before FY28 if there's investor considerations. So, there is a chance the game is launched even as late as Winter 2028. Given what I've seen, I would say October 2028.
The lore of the game was reset twice, certain aspects ended up being too close to Persona 5 and Persona 3. They got through this by telling the story they want instead of what would be suitable for the audience.
Persona Theme
P3 had mostly Greek/Roman mythology based personas, with Isis, Ceaser, and Kala-Nemi being the exceptions.
P4 had various Shinto deities and Japanese folklore.
P5 had famous rebels/thieves/criminals
What are some possible theming conventions they can use with P6, given one of the main themes is occult/paranormal activity, maybe famous ghosts? Famous witches/wizards from literature? What do you guys think?
I think Atlus might be going for a homerun with P6 and may invite a western singer on the soundtrack
Similar to how Square brought on Leona Lewis for FF13 (who was actually a pretty big singer at the time), I can totally see Atlus trying this approach out.
I don't think its The Weeknd...
If they went this route, who would you want to see?
EDIT:
The reason I think western could very well be possible is because of the game's alleged "multicultural" theme and the fact that the MC is almost certainly an exchange student.
Seeing how Inanna is confirmed to be in Persona 4 remake and the theories around this game being focus on the occult. I think it would a good time to add them into persona.
I would love to see more of Doi’s demons in a modern persona game. I feel like the qadistu fit the vibe of the trailer.
please atlus show me john persona 6 today (art by screwave)
Please report and ban u/dongizzle1
u/dongizzle1 is going around spreading misinformation and it using AI to fake pictures. He did it to a Persona 4 Revival PS5 cover, and also most likely the P6 pictures too.
Why did they skip persona 5 at the xbox games showcase?
So they showed Persona 4, and then persona 6? are we skipping numbers now
(six post as in shitpost)
Sadako is going to be the mascot character
And she will be romancable
