Jack isn't "Bon" but he is inside of the Bon suit
I've seen a lot of people recently say that "Jack is "Bon" 100% confirmed" and whilst the evidence they point to is 100% intentionally referencing Jack, I think there's a different reason for it.
(Just for note, when i'm talking about the spirit of Bon I will say it in quotation marks: "Bon")
To preface, yes, there are multiple connections between Bon and Jack, such as Jack and "Bons" faces being very similar in Rose's nightmare. Rose dancing with Bon as if it were Jack, and "Bons" suit being black, just like Jack's, whilst wearing a Bon mask. So yes, Martin is intentionally connecting these two together.
But here is were my theory comes in. In the scene where Rosemary speaks to Bon she asks "Have you felt it too? That lack of control?", in which Bon responds "I am in control". Now of course, Rosemary is speaking metaphorically about control of life, but what if it had a double meaning. What if Jack IS in Bon but has no control over it, only being able to watch whilst "Bon" is in control.
That idea of only being able to watch has been reiterated multiple times in and out of the series, specifically through the constant use of Bon's Eyes as a motif.
In the first episode, before chasing Brain, Bon's eyes fades in and begins to cry. The Season 1B poster shows Bon with only his eyes visible, staring down at Felix. A teaser of episode 6 shows only bons eyes in the darkness. But the most important one I think is in episode 4, as Bon starts killing Susan, he slowly begins to cry, mourning her painful end.
So to summarize. There are multiple parallels between Jack and Bon so there is clearly a connection between the two. Bon remarks to Rose that "He is in control" possibly implying there is someone else not in control. There is a motif of Bon's eyes throughout the series, and so i believe Jack is trapped in the Bon animatronic, but "Bon" is in control of it, and Jack can only watch.
Of course, I could be completely wrong. I heard a theory that "Bon" a reflection of Jack at his lowest, with his grief taking control of him which could be plausible. Anyways, if you read that whole ass essay do you have any ideas or points you would like to say?
Can Still Lifes have Still Lifes?
I was watching this scene of the same room being remembered over and over again until it was recognizable and was wondering if that could happen to Still Lifes, and if maybe an entity like that could appear in the sequel.
I also had a crack theory that maybe The Bacteria is a Still Life that has been remembered so many times it unrecognizable but its name says otherwise so I dunno
