So for today's shave decided to use VI John Master Stroke Chrome Plated Blade. Just on a whim decided to use it and experiment. Looking at their price was not very hopeful, but this blade surprised me. It is sharp and smooth WTG. Not winner level sharp but I was confidently doing quick long passes. I think I might have become too complacent so got a small nick in chin area.

However, ATG it struggled but still could do the passes quickly. In fact, the shaving both passes was finished quite fast.

In the alum test, one side has slight burning sensation, most probably due to my over confidence and not the blade itself as the other side had no issues.

So all in all a good sharp, smooth blade on first shave. If somebody feels winner is too sharp and looking for a notch below, can try this. Winner was smooth for me on both WTG and ATG.

So today I tried statum Blade. Did 2 pass shave WTG & ATG. The blade is less sharp than winner. For me it was not very confidence inspiring, i.e. I could not just get long quick passes.

There was no grabbing but not as sharp and smooth as winner. In the first WTG pass it didn't clean up near the chin area. I did finish up the shave without any cuts, but when applying alum it was singeing all across.

So I would rate this blade below winner. If winner feels too sharp for you then your can consider this.

So this blade is below my shaving range but that dosent mean it's bad. People who like milder blades will be ok with it.

As many of you know I was looking for an alternative to Supermax Platinum Plus, which was my go to blade for the last 2 years. I bought a 100 blade pack from Amazon which was finishing and could not locate it easily.

One member here offered, but somehow there was mis communication lapse and I didn't buy. This was a blessing in disguise as I need to find another reliable blade and not be dependent on a discontinued product.

So I ordered a blade discovery pack from glowshines and have decided to try all the blades.

What I will do is after every shave I will rate the blade on first shave and update the rating on this thread. It will just rate the blade based on sharpness and smoothness.

So for first try I used winner black stainless (no platinum on pack). The blade is really sharp and smooth, no bumps and no skin roughness, no nicks or cuts. It was recommended in this sub, thx for the recommendation, it is really good and is better than supermax in first shave. I did 2 passes WTG and ATG.

Here is my list as of now, in descending order of sharpness.

For me no 1 gives me rough skin after shave, too sharp with my razor of choice, Romer CS11.

No2 & 3 is my shaving range.

No 4 is too dull for my beard, grabby scratch and rough.

I am noob in fpv and sims. Got liftoff for sim training but can't get in game fps over 60 on a mac, even after trying all kinds of graphics adjustments.

The game don't feel as responsive due to this. Any suggestions. Are other people feeling the same.

I am on macbook air M5.

Update: I am using the following graphic options but still can't get FPS over 60, throttling is not an issue cpu temp is around 60-70c
