Every time I listen to it, I love it more and more. Pat and Rivers, when they write songs together, are an unstoppable force.

Why do I like this song?

1. Quirky lyrics (TMBG-esque)

2. Charlie Brown bridge (again, TMBG-esque)

3. Rivers sounds like he's having fun singing it (cannot say that about much of his discography)

4. One of the most indie-sounding tracks ever by this band.

5. Being followed up by *Nowhere* makes it even more special, because that song also rocks!

I suddenly remembered out of nowhere that Jason wrote a song back in 2020 about Rivers, and after listening to that NPR interview, the lyrics seem way apropos:

God, I love how awkward he is

I know it's not a deeply serious lyric, but humor me. What is being expressed here? Why would it be a cool or positive thing if you ask a girl to go to a concert with you, but she has never heard of the band? I'd think that's either a negative thing or perhaps nuetral, but not "cool".

It sounds like what a song would sound like if Pat Wilson & Rivers wrote it for Songs From the Black Hole.

What is up with some of the clerks at this DLD office?

Pray you don't get a certain person at the CDL desk, an older person. Not the best bedside manner. I suspect they (the older person) have latent racism that bubbles into how they interact with POC, because their demeanor changes when serving white persons.

I say that because I read other google reviews and some similar accounts of suspected racist behavior.

I'm new to the area by 2 years, am I off base or on track?

My sister who has a daughter with vulnerable special needs requiring consistent electricity and a few others are protesting specifically the energy drain that the data center will claim if rolling blackouts have to be done to sustain it.

Meet us there at the roundabout at the Utah State Capitol to protest the Data Center. Please be respectful of protesting laws and do not engage with any hecklers.
