the radius for taking control point needs to be reworked (explanation below)
I feel like the capture point radius in Enlisted is way too small, especially when you’re defending.
Right now you’re basically forced to sit inside a tiny 30-yard area to actually defend the point. The problem is that this also makes you an insanely easy target for artillery, tanks, bombs, etc.
I think it would be better if it worked more like Hell Let Loose:
● Keep the main capture circle as the most important area
● Have a larger area around the point that still counts toward capturing/defending, just at a lower rate
● More people inside the main circle = faster capture/defense
● People outside the circle could still contribute depending on how close they are
I think this would make defending way more interesting because you could actually set up a defensive perimeter around the point.
For example, if I’m setting up an MG position to cover an approach to the objective, I don’t want to put the MG inside the capture circle just so the game recognizes that I’m defending.
I’d rather be 20–30 meters away where I can:
● Cover the approaches to the objective
● Have a better field of fire
● Set up an actual defensive position
● Not get instantly deleted by a tank shell or artillery strike
I think this would also help when a new defensive point activates. A lot of the time the attackers already have an advantage during that transition, and then defenders are basically forced to sprint into a tiny circle and hope they don’t get bombed before they can set up.
I don’t think the entire surrounding area should count the same as being directly on the point. I just think there should be more room to actually defend the objective.
What do you guys think? Would a larger area of influence make defending better, or do you think the current system is fine?
