On the July 2nd episode, Holly told Sarah that her mother Nicole had landed in Chicago & was coming (finally) to see her seriously ill daughter.

Since we have not heard anything about a recast, even a brief one, of Nicole, how do you think they are going to handle this visit?

Is Nicole going to have just left Holly's room, anytime anyone else comes in? A minor car accident leaving O'Hare, that requires hospitalization strands Nicole in Chicago? Or Nicole just mysteriously disappears??

Nicole is a character, IMH, that needs a recast. Even if the character just has short comebacks, for stories like the current one. There is no way mama bear Nicole would not be there for her only daughter, who's been going through hell. It's absurd she's not there.

Now that the news is out that John Oliver will be on DAYS in mid August 2026, what type of character will he play?

I am going with The Intruder 'reporter'. I believe he will be trying to get a juicy story from EJ. Most likely including blackmail. And because John has requested a story that has a conclusion, I'm very sure EJ can give him a definite conclusion. 😏

I would love to hear other ideas about what character he might play (in that hilarious wig), so share your guesses.

When Stefano left the chess set to Marlena, I began to wonder if Marlena had a secret baby, that only Stefano & possibly Dr Rolf knew about.

How one might ask, if they had never watched one or maybe two episodes of DAYS lol. One of the times Marlena is missing, kidnapped, in a coma or whatever, Stefano could of had Rolf harvest her eggs, use Stefano's sperm & implant the resulting embryo in another woman. Just a dull day at the office for our mad scientist. 😂

And in my storyline, that woman would be Chad's mother. I think that would be so interesting. Lots of story potential. Also the look on poor Belle's face when she realizes she's been kissing (& God knows what else) her brother! 🤣.

Alternatively, & less fun for me, Chad's father could be John, with Marlena still as mom. And Chad becomes the brainwashed missing pawn.

Though is still possible for Chad to be the pawn & be Stefano & Marlena's kid. Along with hopes of using his children & grandchildren for any future spare parts, he was not above brainwashing them either. So if it goes this way, my hope is that Chad is Stefano & his Queen of the Night's progeny.

Any other strange theories? The stranger the better! 😉🤣

This is something I'm been thinking about for a while now. It has to do with mental illness & fans reactions to it in regard to Rachel & Sophia.

Both characters were treated or are even still being treated at Bayview, a place that should win awards for one of the worst mental health hospitals in all of soap opera land.

Both have had bad parenting. Brady seems mostly clueless & more interested in pursuing his pathetic love life than parenting his kids.

Jason Choi at this point maybe less harsh than his wife, but who knows, since we have barely met him.

Amy Choi. I believe there is more of a backstory to her character. But all we've really seen is her being harsh& judgemental. Very controlling. No choice for abortion but for a long time, too long, no adoption choice either. Amy wanted Sophia to lose her dreams & raise an unwanted baby as righteous punishment from God. 😡

Kristen, sociopathic narcissistic, murderous Kristen. Nothing else needs to be said about her parenting.

There's has been so much written about Sophia's schemes & actual felonies,I feel I don't need to go there.

And Rachel assisting her insane grandma's kidnapping of Ava, her accidental shooting of EJ & causing Sarah's anaphylaxis with the ice cream are all well known too.

I see both Rachel & Sophia as mentally ill & needing treatment. Rachel is a little girl. And Sophia through most of her crimes is an adult, barely, but still an adult.

But the sympathy & being excused for mental illness for Sophia, by some, certainly not all, is very intense. There's lot of poor Sophia, so sad, so mentally ill. Which I agree, she is.

But Rachel also ill is called often, a spoiled brat, evil, the bad seed. Rachel tried to 'murder' EJ & Sarah, occasionally Cat is thrown in there too.

Rachel is 10 years old, at least today, a month from now she may be 20, SORAS lol. Why does Sophia, the adult who actually refused treatment (& we know what she did with her antipsychotic meds🙄) get the mental health pass (by some) but Rachel, a child, hardly ever does?
