Gabi went evil a lot faster than I thought.

I am surprised that Gabi has so quickly gone from being nice to bribing Liam into leaving as soon as possible. I would have assumed that she would’ve waited until becoming DiMera CEO to get ruthless and start manipulating people.

I know she has a history of being manipulative. What I mean is that her bribe/blackmail of Liam seems extremely quick compared to who she was in yesterday’s episode. She’s not a saint but this is very quick.

Has she always been that quick to go evil?

Celeste (re: Lexi)

If Lexie is truly alive, do they plan on having her mother, Celeste, come out of the woodwork or are we pretending that she wouldn’t care that her daughter is alive? Wouldn’t she have premonitions about it all anyway?

May 20th 1999 was a busy busy episode

Allie the nut job tried to run over Carrie.

Sammy kidnaps Will after escaping deathrow and is on the run (again)

And Princess Gina (Chipped Hope) kissed John Black after retrieving the compact of doom.

This show was wild back then.

Carrie & Austin’s future

How would you handle this? Would you write it that Austin passed away or would you have Christie Clark and Austin Peck come back and make it business as usual. How would you handle this? What would you prefer? RIP to Patrick Muldoon.

Lexie actress

First of all, I'm pretty happy that Lexie is back. But second of all, it's going to take awhile to warm up to the new actress. As soon as there were rumours of Lexie being in the pod, I was thinking the only way I wanna see Lexie back is if the original actress came out of retirement to play her again. Renee Jones was the Lexie I grew up with when I watched with my mom and grandma back in the 90s and early 2000s. I think it would've made a bigger impact (to me anyway) if it was Renee's Lexie reuniting with Abe after almost 15 years. So yea I'm hoping I can warm up to this next actress.

Former Days head-writer Ron Carlivati speaks out on rumors about the new writers being forced to use his outline

In a Twitter thread started between The Chat host/my mutual Alan Sarapa and a Twitter user name Tia, they started a discussion about Paula Cwikly and Marie Jeane Ford, the current head writers of Days that replaced Ron Carlivati, and Ron responded to the rumors about the new Days writers being ‘forced’ to finish up his storylines.

Which has officially been denied by Ron himself.

All of the material that we seen after Ron exit was all new and that he had a different vision in mind for EJ shooting storyline, John Black Death, and possibly other storylines. Though, he never confirmed what the outcome of his planned storylines would’ve looked like.

Xander and Sarah 💔

I’m trying to stay hopeful but how can Xander and Sarah recover from these HORRIBLE storylines.

- Sarah and Brady #yawn
- Xander and Gwen, who has done horrible things to Sarah + Xander honestly used her and it was kinda gross
- Now Xander and Kristen 🤢 and Xander potentially going back to his old ways.

The writers have destroyed them imo and I struggle to see how they can get back together in a non-rushed, well-written way? 🫩

But we know that they will OR we can at least assume 😵‍💫 I just don’t know where we go from here? Ruining one of the few popular younger/middle-age couples on the show for what??

The Johnsons Go To China?

Do you think we’re going to see the wedding itself on screen or will it be an off screen thing?

Personally I’m a fan of Tripp and Wendy as characters and a couple. So it would be nice to see it happen on screen. The whole family together.

Of course the biggest problem is that Stephanie isn’t going to get her gun to China. They’re absolutely not letting her in with it. Unless she somehow smuggles it in but that would be even worse for her if she’s found in the country with it.

So do you think we see her leave the gun behind and go to China or is she staying home?

Eli and Lani

Now that they are both back, what exactly will they bring to the show that is noteworthy? I'm sure Eli can just do FBI stuff with Rafe or cop stuff with Shawn and Jada, but what about Lani. I wasn't watching the last time they were regulars, but so far she's been pretty bland. I looked up both there backgrounds on the show and I still can't find anything to make them important characters. Unless they bring Lani's dad back from the dead, like the show likes to do. That would probably be WAY too much for Paulina, with Lexie also back lol.

Thoughts on Lexie storyline so far

I was going to start by saying it’s a dud, but I do like how Paulina has been handling things.

Otherwise though, I think it’s a dud. They really have not milked the moments they should have - really spending time with Lexie, Abe, and Theo processing everything. Suddenly, we are up and going with a fully recovered Lexie having a determined conversation with Kayla.

Nikki Crawford isn’t signed for long, so we know this will end some way or the other. I hope it contributes materially to Abe and Paulina’s relationship somehow.

This is being treated so casually, when it should be front burner and played for every beat.

A shame to bring back a character who had a beautiful ending and a great legacy.
