Recos for Accomodation please

We plan to stay around Old Quarter (or the French Quarter) area so it's walkable to a lot of places we plan to visit. But if not, a little further is fine too.

Budget is 700.000VND max per night for 2 Adults.

I'm concerned about the noise tho. That's one of the biggest factor. I don't want the place we stay at to keep us from sleeping.

Obviously, it has to be clean, comfortable and accessible.

And no, we won't do shared rooms.

Edited: French Quarter is great too. Apparently, it's quieter. Thanks for the reco.

Recos from Locals please: Hanoi and Sapa Trip

So, me and my boyfriend will have our vacation this October. 3 days Hanoi and 3 Sapa.

As locals, are there any places, foods/cafes, activities, etc. that you can recommend that you yourself have tried?

Something that will make you say, this place/food is great and is actually worth the effort/money.

Recos on Accomodation, Places to visit (free or not), Food, Cafes, Activities, etc.

Also, we will celebrate my boyfriends' birthday too and was planning get a massage and have a nice dinner somewhere too. Recos would be great.

Note that I already have a list of my own. I just wanna hear from the locals. I don't wanna fall for the tourist trap. It's our first international trip so yeah.
