Saw this for only £6 because of its condition, couldn’t refuse the offer but wanted to check if it’s legit. They say they’ve bought a new one now and bought this one from Japan. Any ideas? Thanks :)

US Tallar? 1853

Never seen anything like this- found it in the lining of a bag. Is it gold? And if so what would be its approximate value? Measures 13mm across so very small and has ridged edges. Thank you!

Found these in a charity shop- are they legit?

Hinges feel v sturdy- they seem pretty vintage looking at the wear on the rubber but they’ve held up fairly well. Also if they are real what’s the ID on these? Thanks :)

Carriage doesn’t advance in centre

My imperial 2002 typewriter doesn’t advance at the centre of the carriage. Starts typing fine then stops. Then if I manually move it over I can continue. The first 2-3 inches each side of the carriage work fine. In trying to diagnose the issue I think the carriage might be a bit loose? Because for some reason it works perfectly fine when I tilt it back- it even works fine upside down. Just when it’s on the table it struggles through that centre bit. Any ideas??
