Advice for taking up swimming as a hobby?

Hello everyone, I'm 19F, and decided to take up swimming as a hobby. I swim comfortably both in open water and in pools, but want to add it to my weekly routine. I know a few basic techniques but not pro of course. Do you guys have any tips that I shouldn't miss out on? As for the girls on the sub, what kind of equipment do you swear on? Thanks for your help!

Anyone stayed awake during their surgery?

So I decided with my doctor to get spinal anesthesia for my reconstruction surgery, my question is if anyone choose not to be sedated during theirs? I'm getting a hamstring graft. What was your experience, is it disgusting or scary if you see something? I was told that I could ask to get sedated after they give me the spinal anesthesia. Thanks for your answers!

What do you do when you can't eat

19F, 166cm and 48-49kg (5'5, 108lbs) struggling with being disgusted by any food. It's like week 2 now when I'm struggling to eat like even once a day. The only thing I'm not completely disgusted by are fruits. It's pretty annoying because I'm trying to gain muscle even though I've been training my whole life. I somehow managed to gain 4 kgs over the winter but it melted off. I'm trying to at least force down some protein shakes. Also when I'm busy or overstimulated I completely forget to eat. I also struggle with it during travelling too. Any advice?

Did I tear something in my knee?

19F, was playing tennis and I was going for a fast ball when my knee felt like giving out, much pain and I think I heard it cracking too. Was limping after but could walk, played for another 40 minutes but couldn't run or jump or even twist sideways. Then I tried putting in a little more effort and heard another crack, instability, 10/10 pain. Retired from the match and I put ice on it. It hurts with walking or extension or bending down. There's some swelling too on the sides of my knee. Is it a strain or could I have torn something? Sorry for spelling or mistakes, English isn't my first language.
