Just bought a 6 yo mare, I’m a showjumper who’s very interested in doing eventing this year. Keeping that in mind what’s the best bridle and breastplate for eventing? She’s sensitive and moves her head around a lot.
Hey! So my 3 gerbils won’t stop peeing in their wheel, I clean it daily but it gets in the cracks and it’s impossible to remove, the odor is just so bad. What can I do to get them to stop? They have 30 cm of bedding, multiple hideouts and they get cardboard to chew on weekly.
Hey! So I just bought this 6 yo mare, she’s competed up to 115 cm and done some 130 cm jumps at home. Perfect health, super forward and sensitive. She will be my 3rd horse since 2016, the first one was my first horse (after years of ponies) after 4 years I outgrew him and resold him to a little girl, my second horse I bought when I was 15 he was jumping way higher than me and had a good temperament, with him I went from 100 to 120 cm even doing some 130 cm jumps at home. Sadly he injured his tendon in March and his career with me is over, he had surgery and is currently on recovery so he can be my little sister’s first horse. She is the first mare I have ever owned so I would appreciate any tips and or commentary on how different they are from geldings. I know about button ups and that the compression vest sucks (specially now in the summer) but what types of things should I get? I’m gonna live for the 10 days after the surgery in a rented apartment inside a hotel with my mom, afterwards I’m going back to South America (where I live) any tips? What do you wish you had known before? I’m super nervous and excited. Can’t wait to see the results
About that…I’m super nervous about the size of my areola, rn depending on how hard they are they range from 25 mm to 40mm (you can find a pic of me shirtless in my account) and my doc doesn’t do full periareolar, instead she does 2 procedures, the first one is to remove the gland and fat and reshape it to look like a pec. And IF it’s necessary and I want to she can reshape the areolas a year later. The thing is I’m from South America and traveling to Europe it’s extremely expensive specially since I can’t get anything covered by insurance. Do you think my areolas will be clocky?
