GPA Addendum Necessary?

Hello all. Just took the August LSAT and am applying to a few schools as soon as I get my score back.

My GPA is rather low at 2.59 and I wondered if I should write a GPA addendum? TBH, my high school is one of the worst in my state and doesn’t really prepare people well for college. I never had to study, just went to class and listened, and made it to the top 25 students in my graduating class of over 300. I then went on to college and struggled due to not knowing how to truly study, taught myself how and did improve as college went on. I know this isn’t a great excuse, but it’s the truth.

When I decided I wanted to get into the legal field, I went to paralegal school right out of college and finished with a 3.55 GPA. The program started 2 weeks after I graduated undergrad and was only 12 weeks long, so clearly I didn’t magically become that much smarter in such a short period of time. It’s just that I finally learned how to study and that I was studying a field I was deeply interested in.

Any advice on if I should write an addendum and if so, good ways to explain this? TIA!

Cleveland State Study Plan

I’m planning to apply for Fall ‘27 and wondered if anyone who applied to CSU previously could share tips on creating your study plan that you provide with your application.

What is the best format - chart? List?

Obviously I’ll put as much time as needed in, but it almost seems rather obvious to me that I would be studying after work in the evenings and on weekends.

Edit: do their expectations of 30-40 hours per week include synchronous classes, or is that outside of class?

TIA!
