Feeding my vegetarian friend while traveling

Hi there, so last time I went I was solo so finding food I liked was no big deal but this time Im traveling with my vegetarian friend. Any tips on finding places we both can eat? Im there for the seafood and Im a heathen who really isn't into vegetables. I suggested us occasionally eating separately so thet can go to vegan places while I go get what I want. From my research I mostly just saw rice, noodles and salads but no real protein options for dishes.

Note she is fine with eggs and accepts that avoiding fish sauce and shrimp paste is going to be a big pain in the ass and is ok with it for the two week trip but would like to avoid if possible. We will be in Khao lak, Bangkok and Ao nang.

Sourcing summer weight wool

Has anybody had luck finding light weight wool? Like...I know how to spin and weave (we have a 36 across loom) but I don't have the time anymore and just the thread is crazy expensive. All I can find is the boiled or extremely heavyweight if that or some heretical polyester blend ick. My entire kit is various weights of linen and Indian cotton because of the heat with mereno under garments as much as possibkr. I really want to make at least a shorter tunic or chiton in light wool since it doesn't stink even if Im a sweaty Betty.

I know the US doesn't really make any fabric so Ill be looking at a European brand. I also can't afford to be making any historical gear out of 40+euro yards of fabric. I do know where to get lightish wool mix military blankets but they only come is sad green and 'the hell is this lint mess?' Grey mix.

Bags and camping

I looked at their bag policy and the bag size seems crwzy bizzare. I usually wear a clear bum bag to festivals and races and need it for phone, sunscreen, fan etc. How strict are they?

I saw on camping that they expect you to have the number of people a tent can hold. Everyone knows a 2 person is for 1 who won't be in it for long, a 3-4 good size for a person and gear who is going to be in there. I have a backpacking tent that's 8'x8' and tall enough for me to almost stand up. Am I going to get in trouble for this medium tent? I can bring my "2" person ultralight coffin, but I'd like to spare weight, and I can't even sit up in it.

First time going and I like to be prepared for everything
