Starter needs to get replaced on my 2006 honda crv, should I do it myself to save labor money ?

So I just bought a 2006 honda crv, It doesn’t start but I got a PPI and they told me it was 99% the starter thats was broken. Yes I bought a car that doesn’t start but it was only 1500 CAD$. I looked into replacing the starter myself to save money and I wanted to know if I should attempt it. FYI I never really worked on a car myself but I wouldn’t mind taking 2-3 days to make sure it is properly done. Is it a job for someone else or something you can DIY.

Car im looking to buy doesn’t start, what should I look for ?

Hi everyone, im going to look at a 2006 honda crv tomorrow and the lady is asking for 1500 CAD$ (they just bought a newer crv). She said shes selling it this low because it doesnt start and she doesnt know why. The thing that is bugging me is that the car has only 157k kms. I actually think its the real number based on what she told me. Is it worth it to buy it even if it doesn’t start ? What could be the problems and how much would it cost ?

How many miles is too much for a used car ?

Im looking to buy a used car and I don’t really know what mileage is too much for certain brands. Im specifically looking at old Honda Crvs like the 2006 one but I don’t know where do I draw the line for the mileage of the car. Also keep in mind I live in Canada and the winter wheater might affect durability. I found a 2006 Honda Crv with 270 000 Kms for 3k CAD$ (yes im broke) and I want to know if it’s a reasonable price.
Thanks in advance
