I have been kited for 10+ minutes by people running fast ships with long guns a hundred times. Win or lose, I am beyond sick and tired of dealing with it, and the fact this game mode has such a huge, empty map that encourages this play style.

Developers, if you have ANY shred of common sense or decency, just remove chain shot from Tournament Duel so people can't win by default, just because they anchored up with long guns and you didn't. And make the map way smaller - A 1v1 map has no business being the size of an entire chunk of open sea for fuck's sake. I should be able to see my opponent as soon as the match starts.

Duel should be about BRAWLING. Close and mid-range fighting. If you want to run like a bitch for 10 minutes straight, just go out on the Open Sea and pvp, quit ruining a game mode that should objectively last 2-3 minutes tops.

I wasn't around for the Halloween event right when the game came out, but the previous two events had a consistent way of getting event currency - Sea Elves for the Christmas event and amber chests for the Spring one, while this event only has fishing and whaling after you've gotten your 3 daily maps. You could fish/whale in *every* event as a slow, boring but safe method.

What gives? Did the devs finally put their foot down after they already crashed the economy 3 times with the last events? Sea Elves and Amber chests were both pretty tedious and mind numbing but at least we had the option if we really wanted to grind.
