Had a Dream that I saw Jay McCarroll from Nirvanna The Band The Show at a Bar. He put a Derringer Pistol to my chest and shot me with a blank in the chamber.
I watched Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie last night, and later dreamt that I saw Jay at a Mega64 live show that was in a bar. We were both sat near the door, at different high-top bar tables. At one point Shawn Chatfield is doing a solo bit and starts involving Jay, who was oddly standoffish, but Shawn just ran with that energy assuming that Jay was doing it as a bit. After a minute or so back and forth, Jay mutters something about "Needing to show [Shawn] his Guns," and walks out of the bar to his car.
Around this point Shawn seems to notice that Jay was being weird. Since I was sat nearby he asked me to stand up and come to the front for a minute, and pretend like we just finished another audience participation bit, so that when Jay came back in, Shawn could end the bit, say goodbye, and me walking back to my seat would get Jay to go back to his.
Instead, Jay walks in, beelines straight for me, puts a derringer up against my chest with a smile, and fires a blank into my sternum in the middle of the bar. It doesn't hurt, but it pops like a gunshot. Pretty immediately everyone's ushering him out, trying to get him to leave, while I'm still confused, and he makes his way out.
After working through my confusion, and only just recognizing who Jay was, I got a little frustrated with the situation, so I followed and shouted out the door, "Just like everyone else on the planet, I'm never gonna read your fucking book!" That got him to turn around, and he tried pushing through the bar patrons putting him in his car to fight me but they held him back. After that the show was pretty much over, Mega64 just sat on the stage and talked about how weird that was for the next half hour while people finished their drinks. Garrett gave me a free shirt which made Shawn feel bad so he gave me a Blu-Ray as well.
