Various problems with newly acquired Walkingpad
Hey,
yesterday I got my first ever walking pad delivered. I ordered this one off of Amazon. I know its priced pretty low but I thought I would try it since its my first one ever and has some good reviews.
Well, when I first started it up and tried to walk on it it basically stopped for a split second whenever I took a step. After a quick read of the manual as well as some googleing I tried to put some sort of oil under the middle part of the belt which was delivered with the pad itself. I also tried to tighten the screw at the rear end to tighten the belt more.
Since then, the problem did not go away any bit but some new ones occured. The rolls that spin the belt now make loud cracking sounds in a rhythem depending on the speed I set it at.
In my mind, this means that the screws are too tight now. However, the belt itself is still too lose in order to work when I step on it. For reference I am a pretty average male, about 185cm (6 ft) and 90 (198 lbs).
After some more googling I cleaned the underside of the belt as well as the rolls with a cotton cloth and only used a tiny amount now. Nothing got better tho. When I losen the screws enough the cracking sound stops but it obviously doesnt exactly help with the other problem.
Is there anything else besides that which I could try? I already contacted customer support but I am yet to receive an answer.
I figured that it was probably a dumb idea to go for a rather cheap one I guess? Since its the first one I didnt intend on spending much more than 200-300€ on it.
But I think just sending it back and saving for smth a little more high classed is the way.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
