Weight gain

Hello I've recently invested in a walking pad I'm normally very lazy only do max around 5000 steps a day I've done 3 days of 10,000 a day and gained 2lb. I've stuck to my 1500 calories and thought if I'm upping the exercise I would lose. I mean I feel fitter already but don't want to gain a tone.

Various problems with newly acquired Walkingpad

Hey,
yesterday I got my first ever walking pad delivered. I ordered this one off of Amazon. I know its priced pretty low but I thought I would try it since its my first one ever and has some good reviews.

Well, when I first started it up and tried to walk on it it basically stopped for a split second whenever I took a step. After a quick read of the manual as well as some googleing I tried to put some sort of oil under the middle part of the belt which was delivered with the pad itself. I also tried to tighten the screw at the rear end to tighten the belt more.

Since then, the problem did not go away any bit but some new ones occured. The rolls that spin the belt now make loud cracking sounds in a rhythem depending on the speed I set it at.
In my mind, this means that the screws are too tight now. However, the belt itself is still too lose in order to work when I step on it. For reference I am a pretty average male, about 185cm (6 ft) and 90 (198 lbs).

After some more googling I cleaned the underside of the belt as well as the rolls with a cotton cloth and only used a tiny amount now. Nothing got better tho. When I losen the screws enough the cracking sound stops but it obviously doesnt exactly help with the other problem.

Is there anything else besides that which I could try? I already contacted customer support but I am yet to receive an answer.

I figured that it was probably a dumb idea to go for a rather cheap one I guess? Since its the first one I didnt intend on spending much more than 200-300€ on it.
But I think just sending it back and saving for smth a little more high classed is the way.

Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Sperax

I got an email from Amazon this morning informing me that my garbage Sperax walking pad that died has been recalled! It’s a fire hazard! Thankfully, I still have it, so I can get a refund.

Treadmill I've been using for 2 years is dangerous?

So today I got this email saying I need to throw this thing out. It is real as I've logged into Amazon and it does show up as needing to confirm I've thrown it out to get a refund. Did I get lucky that it didn't burst into flames? Should I buy a new one or just walk outside?

Is this how urevo walking pads are supposed to sound?

I just bought a walking pad, this is how it sounded like when I first plugged it in. I have tried everything from adjusting the belt to lubricating it up and nothing helps with the noise. Please let me know if this is how it’s supposed to sound or if I should return it for another one.

Just ordered—does this sound right?

As the title says, I just ordered my walking pad (WalkingPad A10 Pro Foldable) and am curious if it’s supposed to sound like this? There also feels like there is a slight stall at times. Also, please ignore the birks!

Best Walking Pad that Doesn’t Die for Cheap ?

TL;DR — I want a walking pad for my standing desk. I am not heavy in the slightest so that’s not a concern for me. The concern I do have is the price, how long it lasts, and the size.

I’m looking to get one second hand, and want to figure out the best ones to keep an eye out for. I’d prefer something that is not too big. It’s never going to be used for running or regular working out — just walking.

Thank you ;)

Problem mit Walking Pad - Band stoppt bei Belastung

Hallo zusammen,

Ich brauch mal wieder euer Wissen
Ich habe vor knapp vier Monaten bei Ali… ein Walking Pad gekauft. Das Ding hat seinen Dienst gut verrichtet. Bislang ohne Beanstandung täglich gelaufen

Heute Morgen gelaufen, Pause gemacht. Danach wollte ich weiter - Band lief nicht mehr.
Also der Motor ging an, egal welche Geschwindigkeit. Aber das Band hat sich nicht bewegt.

Habe dann das Pad aufgeschraubt. Alles geputzt. Geölt. Den Riemen nochmal runter gezogen und neu drauf gespannt. Ging immer noch nicht.

Dann hab ich das testweise auf Stufe 6 laufen lassen - dann kam ein Funken raus und danach lief das Band wieder.
Also hab ich’s zusammen gebaut. Voller Freude.

Also der typische Standard

Würde mich so freuen Hilfe zu bekommen. Dem Händler hab ich schon geschrieben, aber keine Antwort

Walking pad that doesn’t overheat after 30 mins?

I’m looking for a walking pad that can be used for longer periods of time ie 1-1.5 hrs under 5MPH. I have bought a few now and every time after a few months of use the walking pad gets hot and I end up limited to 30 mins of use or melting my shoes and eventually burning out the motor. Also need one that can support up to 300 lbs.

Any recommendations also I live in Canada.

Any long lasting walking pads?

Hey guys. I’m looking on Amazon for some Prime Day deals for an under-the-desk walking pad. Ideally I would like something under $200 but honestly I’d pay more if there’s something that’s high quality and that lasts a long time. Does anyone know any walking pads that last a long time? Any recommendations or insights are welcome.

Help picking a walking pad for daily 10-15k steps

Hello

I've been trying to find a good and properly working walking pad for the past year without much luck. I work from home and do overtime fairly often (that's gamedev for you), so I need a sustainable way of keeping myself more active while I also work.

I'm fairly overweight and tall, 1.87m, 125kg. I'm currently going to the gym and try to keep a better diet, but it's going very slow considering in most of the days i barely do 1k steps and 6-7k steps in the days i go to gym (2-3x / week).

Going to the gym didn't necessarily help me much. I do both strength training and 30m of walking pad with a high walking speed and some incline. I built some muscles on my upper body, but the rest of the body is still "overweight".

I'm from eastern europe so i don't have many options unfortunately, and the ones I do have are generally more inaccessible compared to central or western europe countries (i.e., I can find an Ureveo Spacewalk 5L for 300 euro on their EU website, they dont deliver where i live, but there's a website selling it through a third-party seller for 515 euro and that doesn't include delivery).

I bought an Zipro Newlite, but since it's max. weight capacity is 110kg it started having some issues, so I still have it, and I hope to fix and use it later when I get back to my target weight.

I tried a cheap chinese brand, Yesoul W2, this one started to emit a burning smell 15 minutes in after using it for like 10 days. Returned it.

I recently tried an Urevo Spacewalk E4W. This one started making a squeeky noise every a couple of seconds after only 2 days. Returned it.

TLDR:

Now I'm thinking of trying my luck with a few more options, but I'm unsure

  • DeerRun Q1
  • DeerRun Q2
  • DeerRun A1 Pro
  • DeerRun A6 Plus
  • DeerRun Z10
  • DeerRun Z10 Pro
  • DeerRun Z20
  • Urevo Spacewalk 5L
  • Urevo Spacewalk FoldiMix 5L

I'm yet to decide which one of the DeerRun might be a better deal than the others (looking into more reviews and what-not, using gemini/chatgpt to get some more info, etc.)

So far I'm a bit more settled on the Urevo Spacewalk 5L, but damn it so much more expensive with the only option I have. (I could order it from Amazon (Germany), but it's only slightly better and it's sold by a third party seller).

Do you have any other recommendations?

Thinking about adding a walking pad for my home office. Worth it?

Slowly updating my home office one piece at a time and recently switched to a standing desk.

I keep seeing these paired with walking pads, and I may be considering for this space.

To those who actually use one: Do you walk and work the whole time? Does it actually take fatigue away from your back and neck or just more movement? And where does it go when you are not using it?

Using one of these just seems interesting to me, but whether it would be worth buying I am yet to decide.

P.S.: Is there something I HAVE to focus on when picking one, like dimension, a lot of noise or better storability in such a setup?

Do NOT buy Revo walking pad from Revomadic

I bought this pad like 2 years ago, only to find after like 3 months that the device was shedding the belt material all over my floor. I wrote support - this was around when tarifs were enacted - and they said they didn't have any in stock, but they would be back in stock in a month for a replacement. A month later, same thing, they weren't in stock, but would be soon. They said they'd reach out. Life got away from me, then I moved, and I reached out again. This is the crazy thing - the guy gave me almost the exact same response after a YEAR. The pad was out of stock, but it would be bad in stock in a month. I asked again, and got a generic response from him.

I honestly don't even know if the support team is real, or what the situation is, but I've never received support like this. I guess this is what I get for ordering from a company that makes walking pads... and collagen? And a cupping therapy device?

Temu Walking Pad Worth it ??

I’m thinking of getting a walking pad from Temu but I’m hesitant. Has anyone bought one? Does it work well? Was it easy to setup? Is there a weight limit on it ? Is it worth it?

Recommendations of other walking pads from different sites and brands are welcome!

Choosing a walking pad for my daughter. (<$500)

My daughter’s birthday is next month, and I’m planning to get her a walking pad. She’s been hinting at it for a while. Any recommendations? Budget is under $500. She weighs around 140 lbs and lives in a small apartment, so I want something that doesn’t take up too much space. A coworker suggested Kingsmith. How is this brand? Has anyone here used it?

Also, do you think it’s necessary to get a massage gun as well? Thanks in advance!

Friction based walking pad?

Non-motorized curved incline walking pad. Thinking like a slideboard but with a curve/incline for under the desk; a simple curved friction based walking system, no moving parts.

I did a gross test by wearing socks and putting an aluminum sign at the least step and supporting it with a piece of wood. For the most part it seems totally viable, I just dont know the measurements or materials that would be best.

I want a sub $100 solution to stay active at my desk -- forever. I had a walking pad but it burnt out and all the non-motorized options that seem to be viable or over 1k.

Why is this not around, what is wrong about the concept? If the idea is viable, anyone have recs for materials and measurements for this diy?

Is there a walking pad that won’t make me a bad upstairs neighbor?

I live in an apartment and I’ve been trying to add more movement during the day, but I’m weirdly sensitive to machine noise.

I don’t need anything intense. Just something for slow walks during work gaps or while watching something. But I’ve seen people mention squeaking, belt noise, and vibration with some walking pads, and now I’m overthinking it.

I’m mostly worried about whether the footstep vibration travels through the floor and bothers the person downstairs, even if it doesn’t sound that loud from inside my apartment. I’d hate to use it regularly and only find out later that I’ve been annoying them the whole time.

For anyone using a walking pad in a small apartment, what actually matters for keeping it quiet? Is it the mat, placement, belt maintenance, or just buying something more stable from the start?

Advice - UREVO spacewalk 5L

I’m considering getting this UREVO spacewalk 5L. What I mostly want is for it to not break down in a year (I’m aware it may only last two) and for it to be as quiet as possible as I live in a flat. I have carpet (not very deep) so I plan on getting a rubber mat. This will be for work from home walking, so ideally during work and sometimes before or after. Does anyone have it and likes it?
