Dev really need to address Exodus generation, here I got portals while my opponent didn't

I don't understand what happened here. I got heavily guarded portals on Exodus on the road to my 4th town, while my opponent had a very standard generation (2nd pic).

I do enjoy the game a lot. But the mad randomness of pvp maps could be tuned down a bit. At a roughly equal level, a bad map is immediate loss. It's fine for a 5min mobile game. Less so for a 1h30 to 2h game.

Exodus - Are astrology builds actually busted ?

Since the recent tournament, I've seen more and more opponents going for full astrology builds, and tried it myself today. Never did I get such a strong hero at fight 2.
Stat wise, it is actually almost fight 3 standards.

I feel like it's pointless to go for other builds now. Heroes with an ability to quickly grow a deep mana pool feel too strong.

What do you think ?

What do you think about res generation on Exodus ?

While I do appreciate the variety of generations on Exodus (some maps with a lot of Meara Autels or Bounty Hunter lair, with a kinda rocket starts, others with lacking res and a stronger emphasis on adaption), I do feel like the mines can be a real roadblock when generated too far away. Here, the 2nd stone mine on the north, and even arguably the 1st stone mine in the middle (not on the way to a city, a bit off road) were quite a pain (notably cause the 1st stone mine only had 1 on ground stone).

Like, I get it, it lose some flavor if you get the 4 mines too easily. So I'm not really sure it should be patched. What do you think ?

15 minutes locked into that screen : Opponent got disconnected, and now it's wait or surrender. Maybe a timer would be good ?

Finally tried ranked with Exodus, feels like an achievement !

Was quite afraid to try ranked -and I still am- but pretty happy to win my first try -I'm quite aware that my army is lackluster, almost reached the white tree-.

I'd have a few questions : How many maps do we have in single Hero Ranked ? I assume the others are pretty different than Exodus and that I can't always secure playing Exodus ? My only other experience is AoE2 where you fav a map and ban some others, but you aren't guaranteed to play the map you picked as favorite.

Is it worth to boost wraith HP ?

Hello,

During a Exodus game, I stacked several items and skills that boosted my Wraith hp to 18. And it made me wonder, is it worth it ?

Like, is it lowering the amount of wraith I get through overheal ? If so, I'd assume that it's better to have vanilla HP wraith so I get more units when I overheal.

I've done no calcs or such, so if anyone has a clue, I'd appreciate.

Have a good day

Just won on Jebus Cross without fighting

I just realised today that the victory condition is to hold a city -I assume the central one-, not defeat the enemy (who knew I couldn't read :') ).

Isn't it a bit underwhelming ? I hoped for a big clash, not winning through time technicality. Broke arguably late, and enemy was hard AI.
