Clutch drag at idle in 1st gear
So, when I first got this bike about 18 months ago (used, pretty high mileage), I had some trouble getting it into neutral when I parked up. Sometimes it worked, but sometimes the gear lever just felt locked up to the point where I would have to stop the engine to free it up.
Went on the DGR on Sunday and while queing up with hundreds of other bikes I figured it out. When the bike is well up to temperature and idling in 1st, the clutch starts to drag after about 5-10 seconds. You can feel the bike pulling forward a little bit.
Then I figured out that if I bring the revs up to about 3000, the drag disappears and I can shift out of gear really smoothly.
It's like the clutch is drying out when it's disengaged at low RPM's, then wetting up again when things spin up.
I don't think it's a problem, but has anyone else had the same experience?
