Gf sourdough white country loaf by Aran G. I make it weekly, but not using an oven from the 1970s seems to really have made a difference. I also let the preferment sit out for three hours then refrigerated it for maybe 6/7 hours before making the dough. Great rise.

Post pneumonectomy scapula/shoulder bump and pain

I’m posting on behalf of my husband, who two years ago received a total right pneumonectomy for adenoids cystic carcinoma of the medius bronchus.

Two years later he’s still in almost crippling daily pain with a huge bump above the incision scar, which lines up with the bottom of his scapula. He’s had a nerve block, which helped with pain radiated to the front of his body from pinched nerves in between rib and scapula (where the tennis ball size bump is) but the back pain is worse now.

He’s seeing an orthopedic surgeon in two weeks, but we’ve already seen oncologists, cardio thoracic surgeon, his primary, and the palliative care and pain clinic team. No one knows exactly what the bump is, even after imaging, or how to manage.

I’m hoping someone’s who has had a similar post pneumonectomy experience can point us in any direction. Thank you.
