New Apartment Living Room Setup Help
Just moved into a new apartment (30m) and looking for advice on living room setup. There's another bare wall and entry into the LR out of view to the left of the photo. I clearly have some items already and want to work around what I have. I'm thinking on tackling color schemes coming from the rug in different parts of furniture. There's a decent amount of browns including a wood coffee table, bookcase and dining room table (DR attached to living room) and the two couches are brown/charcoal (ish) mix made from a polyester fiber. There's a black entertainment stand will most likely be gone. Debating sanding and staining/wood oiling the bookcase and coffee table.
I'm next looking to get different and heavier curtains but because there will be 6 easily in view, I want to get the right color/material. Not sure if I should do a different shade of the wall but I was leaning toward more of an earthy green/moss. One or two dark red/maroon throw pillows that match with aspects of the rug. I've found a couple side tables, but it's more wood and I don't want to over do it.
Clearly, there's a lot more to add and move around(I did just move in) Shelves, plants, entertainment center, wall art, floor/table lamps and hopefully rug for dining room (can't see in pic) I'd love to hear people's input and advice! Thanks!
