Where the bed is supposed to be?

Where the bed is supposed to be?

I’m moving into this one bedroom apartment and now I don’t know where to put the bed. The windows are facing east.
I’m not sure if I should put the bed below the window or right in front of the door. It kinda feels weird. I’m trying to guess what the architects think where the bed should be when they design the building…

Feng Shui?

Hello community

Excited to enter this new place soon

I'm not so sure about the arrangement or the style to give to the space

Is it feng shui enough or would you do it another way? Is having the couch like this a good/bad idea?

Adding a bar somewhere in the mix would be cool also.

Also any style idea ? With the wife we have a preference natural tones and would take any tip to make the space harmonious

Cheers!

How can I make living room/dining room space look better?

Hi! In early stages of putting this space together. Got curtains, couch and rug I love but I don't like how it looks. I'm not the most creative person so would really appreciate ideas.

Also sorry I dont know how to post multiple pictures in one post so added different views in the comments. If this isn't allowed or breaks any rules please let me know and I will delete and try again 😅

Could something go here realistically?

I am currently redoing my room and have struggled to find something that fits here. I’ve looked at chairs but nothing fits my room’s vibe, the brown bed and black furniture making up theme.

Make my living room cozier?

I feel my living room feels kind of cold, or uninspired, maybe?

One specific critique I have is that I think my rug might be too small. How much bigger should it be? Any thoughts as to another color rug instead of this cream one?

What are your thoughts to improve my living room? It could be purchasing things, rearranging things, getting rid of stuff, etc. However, I won’t be painting any walls or changing the vinyl flooring.

Any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions are welcome!

Thanks! 💖

New house- no idea where to start with kitchen!

Hello everybody 🙂

We just purchased this house and this kitchen needs some updates..

The flooring is junky and ugly in my opinion.

The island situation is very strange with the way it’s angled. There is a dishwasher there.

Looking for general ideas for where to take this!

Not looking to spend a ton right away- just to get it to a place where it feels cozy and well put together.

Any ideas are extremely appreciated 😀

Advice for tidy storage on here?

I can only upload one photo but basically there are 3 open shelves and 2 drawers. We're using the bottom shelf for toilet paper and the drawers for toiletries. We want the top 2 open shelves to look tidy as well as being practical. I was thinking of a couple of small woven basket type things to put spare soaps etc but any advice appreciated of how we could use these shelves in an aesthetic as well as practical way

Is it a bad idea to use the same hallway porcelain tiles in the bathroom?

I have extra tiles from the hallway and I think they could look nice in the bathroom as the tiles in the bathroom are old. However not sure if using same flooring in two rooms will look nice.

Matching chairs?

I am moving into my new appartment very soon, after i split up with my boyfriend. Now I'm trying to get things I love and am wondering how ro combine them in the living room.

Currently I'm looking for chairs that are suiteable for my couch, couch table and new dining table.

What would you recommend. More black/metal, more white/beige, wood...matching boucle to the couch or material mix?

Help...no idea how to resolve this space

We get the keys and need to start fixing up the home so we can move in (I have a 3month old and 3yo - perfect time to finally buy a house 😑). The master bedroom layout makes no sense to me... The ensuite has no door and not enough room for a door to swing inward or outward. You literally can see the toilet while in bed 🤢.

The built in robe is tiny so won't fit all our clothes.

I'd love some suggestions on how to make this space works.. a door on the bathroom for starters (we were considering a barn door but feel it may not be insulted enough)... And more space to store clothes.

Thanks so much in advance.

Help decide which floor to choose

Counters our concrete that are stained a dark brown, similar to the one in the photo. They cannot be changed at this time. Love white oak, but trying to decide if it's the right or wrong floor for the space?

Thoughts on the Paneling?

My husband and I are in escrow on this house with beautiful and well maintained wood paneling. That said, the paneling isn’t super our style, but we are open to being convinced. Our initial thought was to put drywall over it, leave the open beams and leave the natural wood framing (similar to what you see through the hallway).

We don’t want to be like the people that covered up beautiful wood floors decades ago with laminate though.

From research we did, drywall is one of the safer ways to keep the wood preserved (vs paint for example). To make it a hair more complex, we do really want to honor the old owner and her legacy. She owned the property for many years and was a great person before passing away.

Would love perspectives on:
-Is it wrong to potentially cover the wood and leave some pieces exposed?
-If we cover it, is there a safer way to preserve the wood underneath?
-If you kept it as it is, would love any inspiration on how to design the space and make it feel cozy

ETA: The floor is LVP and goes through the entire home, unfortunately removal isn’t an immediate option and we aren’t sure what floor is underneath or its condition. Interestingly, the floor looks really nice in all the other rooms and is more of a light tan (not gray). I suspect because the wood walls are so warm that it’s leeching some of the color from the flooring if that makes sense.
