Which option is best?

Which option is best?

Which curtain option looks best in my home? Floor to ceiling curtains, or curtains that start right above the window?

If you had 2000 dollars to turn this awkward office into the ultimate mid-century modern library, what would you do?

Hey all, looking for brutally honest design advice. Pics attached. The layout is weird. Door on the left wall, closet on the right, and a window on the back wall, pushed to the left.

I want it to feel like a true mid-century modern study, a real library vibe with lots of books. Right now I’m using an L-shaped desk in the back right corner, but I’m not married to it. I’m open to a full rearrange, including replacing the desk. Budget is around 1 to 2 000 dollars and I’m willing to spend it on the best ideas, not just the cheapest. That could mean lighting, an accent wall, art, shelves, or a rug, whatever actually makes the space feel warm and classic and library-like.

If this were your room and your budget, what would you do? Mockups, sketches, Pinterest links, all welcome. I’d love to see your ideas.

EDIT: I have over 300+ books that I’ve read over the years and want to turn this space into an MCM study
